We are now on the home straight with this lovely model.

STAGE 93

In this section we assemble the first parts of the working hood frame.
Take care with identifying the parts as they are handed, but look quite similar.

STAGE 94

Her we fit together the central frame parts and add the curved rear side frame ends.
Again, take care to identify the correct part at each stage.

STAGE 95

The final parts for the roof frame are included in this pack.
The pieces are straight forward to assemble but be careful with the very small parts in the end brackets.

STAGE 96

The outer hood fabric is in this pack and is attached to the frame at the front using small screws.

STAGE 97

The interior head lining is fitted at this stage.
Fixing is very straight forward by means of velcro strips. Take care to align the interior fabric nice and straight with the outer covering.

STAGE 98

This pack contains the parts for the rear window frame and 'glass'.
Assembly isn't difficult but make sure that you line up all the locating holes in the various layers of parts before pressing the outer frame parts firmly together.

STAGE 99

The rear inner parcel shelf and lower frame fixing bar is included in this pack.
All of these parts assemble easily.

STAGE 100

Here the roof will be fixed to the car.
There are inner trim panels that clip into place first.
Also, the washer jet is added, as well as the radio aerial.
The roof attaches quite easily and to begin with, in the 'up' position the fabric is tight and may pull the rear fixings out. Do not worry - the fabric will 'give' a little over time and this will not be a problem and you will end up with a fabric roof that even when up, is still nice and tight.

Now - fuel in, picnic basket on the back seat, The Beachboys on the radio - let's go cruisin'...
