The next part was a little more involved to make; the emergency rudder control. This was used in the event of rudder motor failure where the hydraulics had collapsed. The manual emergency rudder control was then engaged and navigation could resume.

The attached photo shows it completed and ready for painting.

Emergency rudder control fitted. The blue arrow indicates where i connected it to the rudder motor via 0.8mm diameter brass rod to represent the connecting shaft.
