Can anyone confirm if the videos made for DeAgostini on the HMS Victory build, ever got completed?
They were made by Bobby Waldron and I have found videos 1 to 19 but nothing else.
For the record, I have got all the Official build videos but It would be nice to have both sets for cross
referencing.
I am currently about 2/3rds of the way through an Amati Revenge build and plan on starting HMS Victory
soon after that, so seriously looking at all the video help and tips that I can get...plus this forum of
course, which is proving brilliant.

Not sure what you mean, the only Official HMS Victory build video's are long since complete and were created by our very own Gandale of the forum..

Bobby Waldron has nothing to do with Deagostini, as far as I know. He has a company called Genessis Models and provides video diary builds for many different models; many on subscription. I too watched the first few video's of his Victory build but they suddenly stopped. I did email him to find out whether the remainder were available but was clearly too busy to have the courtesy to reply.

I appreciate your replies on this subject and I DO realise that Genesis are totally unconnected with DeAgostini Model Space. I also, have tried to contact them to find out if additional videos are available, with no response. As you guys are all so well informed and knowledgeable about everything related to HMS Victory, I thought maybe someone would have an insight. I just thought that they would complement Gandale's excellent videos, that's all.

There will always be those that jump onto a new release and do a build as a means of promoting their business, once the goal has been achieved they often leave an incomplete build in their wake.

Hello there
I am also interested in the videos as in DVD because was shown it was mentions in one you tube that it came with the first pack but not available for the US that I know of I would like to get a video my self if there is a link to got to get one please let me know PS not sure what kind of DVD it is

If I remember rightly, Bobby Waldron stated a long time ago on his website that he would not be making any more build videos as they took up too much of his time. Sorry

Ronald The Victory DVD was only produced for the original collection release in 2010 and was only available with issue 1. It was in UK format only and therefore incompatible with US format. In addition, it was only an intro DVD which showed the assembly of the first few issues and not as comprehensive as the official build videos. Regards Alan

Sorry to bang on about this but I managed to locate a mobile number for Bobby Waldron and had a brief chat with him. He was most polite and seemed genuinely interested in my enquiry. His response was that as areas like rigging are so complex and time consuming, he is "thinking of making another series of videos in the future but not sure when" He did say that other projects were also taking priority at the moment.

I too followed Bobby's build and was very disappointed when things came to a halt around episode 18/19. I am NOT building the Victory). Good news is that Bobby has resumed his build, albeit at the rate of one episode a month. And much shorter episodes. He has currently reached episode 28 and (to my mind!!) spending an inordinate amount of time building guns ...  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...LDsu0EKRM9nen3HqOzD8Y3F2is a link to episodes 1 thru 28 I think those of us who wish to watch this series will have to possess our souls in patience and hope that Bobby will continue. Bob Waldron's build videos were used by me as supplementary references but since the resumption, he has almost ground to a halt with drawn out videos on gun building and little else. I have to say that the Model Space instructions and the official build diary are first class. Chris
