Another one joins the pile...

I'm going to start this one shortly as I'm waiting for the silver paint on the giant 1/8 Porsche to harden off before applying any decals.
Then it will wait another week before getting a clear coat.
THEN another good few days before I can resume building it...
Hopefully you get the idea. This one is a time-filler.

It will be finished in the Rob Walker team colours.
On we go.BigGrin

Ok - I've made a start.

Interior tub sprayed with Halfords chrome - it gives a nice satin almost ally finish.
Seat trimmed with red leather.
Main tub assembled.
Some paint next methinks...

Funnily enough, after building a string of 1/8 kits, this seems really tiny.LOL

The body has had paint applied now and the dash has been fitted with a bit of added wiring.
Front area has also been assembled after painting and the brake pipes etc added according to reference of a Rob Walker car.

A fun, easy project while the giant Porsche paint really hardens off.
LOL LOL LOL

Just a little update on this one.
I haven't taken many pics of the build as it really is just a 'fill-in' model for me as a breather between the biggies.

Radiator sorted and covered with ally BMF.
Engine etc all now assembled although I will be adding more wiring and plumbing to it.

The decals were researched from Google and I've now drawn them up and printed them. Some will be going on shortly...

Nearly done...
The rest of the engine area has been sorted with several missing oil pipes and wiring added.
The two screens are in place, as well as the mirrors and finally, the wheels and rear wing.
Tyre lettering was added using my trusty white fine marker pen.
Only a few more decals and the rear wing to add...BigGrin
