After trimming the excess rod I used Epoxy to more firmly secure the spokes in the rim. Then it slips into the tyre ! Only three more to go !! Malc.RM1 attached the following image(s):

Hi Malc, Your build is outstanding FYI on DSTV Chanel 121 there is a program 'Ant Anstead-Master Mechanic', it airs on Saturday mornings. He is building a replica Alpha, and in the next couple of episodes it looks like he may take a look at a real one! Kind regards, Garth "Measure twice, cut once!!!" Finished!!! HMS Victory, Current build: Black Pearl. On hold: Bismarck, Golden Hind, Flying Scotsman, Victory Cross Section, SOTS, Tiger 1. Wish list: USS Constitution.

Hi Malc!
This build is looking fantastic!
As a note, Borrani wheels were painted a rather dull silver, in entirety. The shop I take my Cobra to has some from a Ferrari 250 Testarossa Pontoon Body they service, and I was able to take some good pics. If you'd like, I can post them to this thread. If nothing else, they are great reference pics!

They look so good with a shine.

These wire wheels are fascinating in the way they distribute the stresses. Definitely going to keep mine shiny. Malc.
