Hi Everyone

I've been building my MP4-23 out of sequence, basically to detail parts of the model with carbon fibre when I have the time (a winter project and finding the patience to cut the shapes, although I have seen some of the excellent efforts on this forum already).

But HOLD YOUR HORSES! Assuming DeAgo will offer them to the UK, look what came out with Issue 52 in Japan, a set of templated carbon fibre decals for parts of the model. Some are obvious where they go, others not so, and some like inside of rear wing end plate are missing, unless there are more to come.

Cheers

Good spot!
It would be nice to see a closer up image of the detailing!
Tomick/Admin, is this something you can confirm?
Have you got a list of parts per issues?

Thanks

How easy are they going to be to add to the model at that late stage in the build.

the way my order for decals is going, ill probably have these before the ones ive ordered turn up! be interesting to find out if we are getting them and a good close up picture to see the quality.

i imagine these decals will just be for suspension parts and maybe small pieces of body work. the inside of the rear wing has the "pattern" on the plastic so i guess the decals wouldn't be made for that area?

Thats great news seeing that i was getting jealous of everyone that has carbon wrap theres but tbh carbon wrap will probably look better and these are not going to be a joy applying fancy leaving that far into a build would have been better as you build but never mind
all the best Dave

I think i may leave my model the way it is....I can see this getting very messy, especially around the suspension armsHuh
IF we are going to get these decals, why did we not get them earlier in the build?????RollEyes

BigGrin Hi all,

I'm also hoping that we DON'T get them!! Perfectly happy with the suspension arms, etc, being black, as you wouldn't see more than that from even a short distance on the real car anyway, so why 'tart' it up?? Would be a waste of £7.99 as far as I'm concerned as I just wouldn't use the parts from that issue and why leave it so late in the build anyway?? Confused If we do get them I think I will sell mine on to the people who need a second set after they've tried fitting the first, just to recover some of the money!!! Would keep the mag though LOL LOL

I have to be honest, I agree with the rest of you on this, can't believe it's so far in to the build!
I'll be using decal for mine but not waiting that long!
Put them on the model half built would be so hard, I'm doing it as I build!
