i have the same problem with the warping but never thought of that, a bit scared to try cutting her up. will read and re-read your process ... but might put up with warp. well done and an inspiration with your bravery on this, she looks great now current builds

I spent some hours opening all the vents of the deck-side parts, which was especially hard at the small vents with all the plastic to be removed on the inside!

Nice work on those vents Walter Regards Phil COMING SOON =1/72 Italeri diorama`s Battle for the Reichstag and Stalingrad battle at the tractor factory 1/16 Trumpeter King Tiger with loads of extras ON THE GO= refurbishment of 1/25 Tamiya tiger 1 , amt Star trek kits and space 1999 models

Lovely work Walter, those vents look so much better when they have been opened up. It's a time consuming job but the results speak for themselves, good work.

Hi guys!
I´d like to show you some pics of this weekend`s work.
First i completed the first planking at the stern and attached the side plates.
Then i test-fitted all the deck frames (removed them again)
Next step i glued the stern parts. I had to cut the metal-tube to about three cm - otherwise it would not hev been possible to attach the Stern to the hull in the right position (the shorter tube is not visible)
I then attached the stern to the hull along with the stern-most deck Frame:
I must say i dont`t look forward to the sanding-job as most of the second planking is more than 1mm higher then the plastic parts - so this will be a pain i guess?
