Im now at where im struggling... Ive been trying to bend the first pieces of planks for the stern and its a real struggle to the point i havent done a single one.. I have gone through several pieces and still cant get it to bend right... Help appreciated.... Building.

Are you using an electric plank bender? I have been using a gas soldering iron as it gives more heat. Also make sure to leave the planks soaked for at least half an hour and rather bend them away from the ends (as these break more easy) and cut to size afterwards.

The approach I used was to cut the plank over length, then put into boiling water and soak overnight. Next use something round such as a tin to act as a bending jig. Keep working the plank around the can slowly using something with a tighter radius as you go.
Filially, place the plank on the stern and using the last rib to get the correct 90 degree bend. You can prepare 2/3 planks on each side like this. Pin the plank on the ribs and leave to dry out fully. Place the pins beyond where the plan will need to be cut.
Once dry, remove all the pins and planks and test fit the next in line. I did not pin any of my planks onto the ribs therefore it was important that the plank was shaped as perfect as possible so there was no pressure on the glue. I then placed an offcut over the end of the plank and pinned that into place. If any final shaping was required, I held the bend over the spout of a boiling kettle for a few minutes and then continued the process as above.

I found it very difficult to bend a plank around a round object. A concave object is a lot easier. On the attached picture I bend a dry plank with my thumb without any breakage. To keep shape and bend easier I wet the planks and then apply heat to the inside of the plank with a round copper or brass bar fixed to a electric or gas soldering iron (the heat dries out the timber to keep it's shape. If necessary I repeat this process until I have the desired shape. Normally I work with a bit longer planks and then trim to size. Roeland attached the following image(s):

As stated many times before and repeated by John and Roeland above, the key thing to remember is to make the acute bend in from the end of the plank and then trim it to size afterwards.
This removes, or at least reduces, the tendency for the wood to split. Good luck.

Im back into the build the past few days and the stage that im at is planking the stern. Its been quite a while so for a day or two i was test bending to get my eye in...... Photos will appear...... Building.
