Most of us will have a Dremel Multi tool as part of our toolkit. Useful bit of kit but can be a bit harsh in use.

I noticed my better half using a battery operated nail file with interchangeable heads. At a cost of less than a tenner and with a few mods (I attached strips of sand paper of various grades to the heads) I have a small battery operated hand sander, easy to use and light. When the sand paper becomes clogged it will just be a matter of replacing the paper on the head.

Brilliant idea with a low cost. Got to be in the box of tools hasn’t it? Andy.BigGrin

That is a good idea and looks much more wood friendly.

As you say the dremel is a good piece of kit but can be a bit aggressive on model parts.
