Finally finished this big nightmare.

You can tell it's really an early '70's kit.
Appalling parts fit, flash everywhere, sink marks, and surprisingly for a 1/8 scale kit, an extremely low parts count - probably about the same as the average 1/24 Revell car kit.
Detail - ?
What detail...?

Due to the age, the decals had virtually disintegrated so I had to spend an age scanning them and then re-drawing them new in Photoshop.
Then I printed my own.

Anyway, now at last finished. Probably one of my least enjoyable builds.
I really can't believe the insane amount of money this kit now fetches.
It genuinely isn't worth much above £100.

However, thanks to all those who followed and offered the much needed support...

Nicely done Roy, given that the basic offering was an overpriced pile of badly moulded and under detailed parts! I think you've made a great job of bashing it into something much better, very well done, it looks great, especially in that 'Martini Racing' livery - one of my all time favourite sponsor schemes!

It seems it is possible to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear!!

The art of a true modeller Roy.... you may think its a poor kit and not worth the money but what an excellent job you've done. Truly a beautiful model to add to your collection.... Very well done.....Love Love
