It's looking real good Mike! I'm watching with interest. By the way I have joined the build of HMS Hood myself. I'm waiting till I have enough parts for a decent start, so I'm stowing them away till then. By the way, I just wanted to thank you for your input and thoughts when I was at the will I, won't I, stage. You know what its like just before you sign up to a new build, especially one as big as this, you get an attack of the nerves. Your analysis and thoughts about the build were dead on. So thanks for that mate. Also a big thanks to Colin, whose infomation and enthusiam for the build has been quite infectious. Thanks to you both!

For those going the R/C route, some advance thought's on water-sealing the interior of the hull, which is a must if you don't want serious problems!
It's more than likely that the series will go the route of advising a waterproof PVA painted onto the hull interior in conjunction with a bandage (same route as the Bismarck). The far better route is to the use Graupner's 'Glattfix', which is a specific paint on pore/water sealer that can be applied to the inside and outside of the hull, however this product is now scarce in the UK and the main source being via Germany.
An even better alternative which the R/C pro's use is 'G4 Pond Sealer', which is a polyurethane moisture curing sealer, and is applied in the same manner as polyester resin onto the inside of the hull, but may only need one coat, where as Glattfix requires a number of coats.
G4 can be found at many Garden Centres, usually marketed as a concrete pond sealer, but is now being used to make GRP repairs on full size yachts!
The smallest qty of of G7 is 1kg, and don't forget to add a reinforcing mesh to the inside of the hull (such as plasterboard scrim tape) before sealing it, which is to protect the hull from bumps or "accidents".
