Hi All,

We are all worn out by COVID. But, as someone who has watched these boards come alive over the last while, I wanted to ask that we all try to maintain vigilance..we are ALMOST DONE dealing with this. The vaccine is sooooo close. My wife is getting hers tomorrow. ( front line, teaches)

I am probably not the only one who catches theirselves thinking “I’ve made it this far, I’m not going to get it before I get vaccinated....”

These boards exist because of you-all. They are fun, because of you-all. Let’s get through to the end, and we can all continue to enjoy life, family, friends, and this hobby.

Stay well,

Mark

My dad - 96 this year - had his yesterday. Fingers crossed us 'youngsters' (66) get it too before too long.
Stay safe everyone.

Amen guys,
Once enough of us get vaccinated this virus will be controlled. In the meantime it gives us an excuse to stay inside and build more models.

After believing that someone I know may have been a carrier, I went for a test on 26th December just gone (Boxing Day), and was confirmed as Covid 19 positive the following day. I went downhill from there within a day, I had severe muscle aches, joint pains, high temperature and a persistent cough that was so bad the only way I could get relief was to lay flat on my stomach for hours on end. I generally felt that I had been beaten up by Mike Tyson. I had no interest in food and didn't eat a proper evening meal for two weeks, losing 1st 4lbs in about 10 days! It is only now, a month later that I am starting to feel anything like general wellbeing though I am only about 85% of what I was before and still getting very tired towards the end of most days. Thankfully I never had to go into hospital, though I did think it was close at one point. Since making a reasonable recovery I have a strange sense that my mental sharpness isn't quite what it was before either, though I'm told that should improve over time.

Trust me as one who has had Covid 19, this is not a pleasant virus, unless you are lucky enough to be asymptomatic, so please take as many precautions as you possibly can. Stay at home, wear PPE and keep your social distance and STAY SAFE!!

.... and keep modelling!! Cool ThumpUp

Kev.
