So we're almost half way through the ford gt kit and it got me thinking.... I would LOVE to see the iconic Ferrari 330 P3 that was ford's big rival from the '66 le mans race. The 2 cars together would look stunning, especially in the same scale and detail. With its mighty v12 powerhouse it would make one serious model to boot. The MFH 1/12 330 P3 is a beautiful kit, but apparently it is a BEAR to assemble-probably because of all the compound curves.I have seen quite a few people struggle to get the body parts to fit properly-especially the doors.

I bought the 330P4 MFH kit and what they say is true; the bodywork needs a LOT of fitting , door hinges aren't very good complicating matters, some builders just left the doors open. Equally challenging is the chassis and exhaust, I spent a week assembling the exhaust pipes alone. other than winng Spa and Daytona I don't think it had very good racing record--I'd still buy it though in 8th scale.................

I'm aware of other kits on the market, like Many other subject matters. Having one in 1/8 scale with metal body, high details etc that we expect from de agostini would be awesome, especially along side the gt40. The 2 cars on display together would mighty impressive given their infamous rivalry at the '66 le mans 24. Plus as mentioned, it really is a gorgeous looking car with them curves Building: Ghostbusters Ecto-1, Ford GT40, Gone in 60 seconds Eleanor mustang, Shelby Cobra Complete: R2D2, Red Bull RB7 RC, Battleship Bismarck, Shelby GT500 'super snake'

Yes that’s certainly a build I’d be interested in as long as someone involved actually had a real car to get the details correct which could be difficult as I don’t think Ferrari made as many as the GT40 so being allowed access to an original could be tricky 😩

It's a model I had contemplated scratch building in 1/8. Too many things on the go at the moment though.

I’d be interested. The more detailed, the better -Dustin
