It's amazing to see how quickly the top came together. The bottom seemed like it took a lot longer to build. Can't wait to see the completed mandibles.
Current Builds: HMS Sovereign of the Seas /// Lamborghini Countach /// Eaglemoss BTTF DeLorean

Finished Builds: Millennium Falcon

I agree, the bottom took forever, smaller parts I guess, but Im sure there will be a lot of work on the upper back part that Ive just recieved. Im not going to start to paint this area until I some more of the detailed parts first. Anyway this will give me more time to tinker on other parts.

Nice I am up to issue 68. Do you know what issue shows you where to put on the top piping pieces from the previous issues? Are yours temporary or glued on?

There are no instructions, I just looked at reference pics online. I have glued them.

The top is definitely coming along fast. I have just started on the mandibles. Starting to look like the falcon more and more

I'm still a fan of that round radar dish. I guess it's just what I grew up with. Looks great, Darren. Keep the photos coming.

Looks awesome. Are you jumping ahead of the instructions, or does issue 72 have the directions for the dish and all of the piping and the mandible plating?
My current builds: The Millennium Falcon, Suzuki GSX 1300R Hayabusa, Ford Mustang Shelby

Looking good Darren, like scraper I'm also a fan of the round dish, it's just more iconic in my eyes

Thank you, issue 72 does have the instructions for the dish, the piping I looked at reference pics to see were they went. The mandible frame I just put there to see how she looks

It is just the small details (like the dish) which makes you say "that's the falcon!" and you smile when you say it.

Hi all, I can't believe it's been almost four years since I completed the build 😮
Hope everyone is safe and well.

She was done to a stage of just grey primer because my airbrush skills were an unknown entity, also I did not have a airbrush 🙄. So there she sat for four years on top of my wardrobe gathering dust 😟

Just after Christmas down she came, striped and put in Bath for a good clean.

Will post pics of my progress later today.

Parts stripped and washed

My first task was doing the recessed parts.

First prayed in Tamiya flat black, fine spray of grey metallic and finished of with tamiya weathering master sets.
