Pack 16 Stages 66-70
Stage 66 Installing the rear window Note: this pack deals with windows and the finished roof. Gloves (such as inspection gloves or a soft cloth) will improve the completion of this build.
The double sided tape will go on the pinned side of the windows. Four pieces will go on the rear window as shown. The backing on the first piece of tape I placed on the frame separated. Make sure you have clear tape left on the part after peeling away the protective backing. Four pieces go onto the rear window as shown. Make sure the window is oriented properly. Press the frame onto the window firmly. There should be no gap between the window and the frame.
Stage 67 Installing the windscreen Same as the rear window, just more tape, leave the protective backing on for now. The frame will not be installed to the window until Step 70.10. Put the glass and frame aside for safe keeping.
Stage 67 Installing the rear quarter window Attach the chrome strip to the window. The black strip goes to the outside, pins in the chrome strip go thru the black strip and the window. Push on the chrome strip carefully until the chrome strip is fully seated. Put the window into place and attach with 3MP screws as shown in steps 68.3 and 68.4.
Stage 68 Installing the 2nd rear quarter windowDo the process all over again for the other window. Secure the window with 3MP as shown in steps 69.3 and 69.4.
Stage 70 Attaching the roof (Note: you will need a soft cloth for this Stage)The front and rear glass sit in place as shown. Prior to flipping the assembly over the roof should be set into place. Flip the body over while maintaining the position of the roof to the body. Secure the roof with 6LM screws. Put the double sided tape in place as shown on the side window moldings, 68A and 69A. Put the one molding on temporarily with the tape. Secure the front of the molding with an RM screw. Flip the body over and secure the molding with 2NP screws and 2OP screws as shown. Repeat for the other side. ON to the front window. I practiced mounting the front window onto the frame first. Now remove the protective backing on the tape. Carefully install the window on the pins loosely and get all the pins into position, then press the frame onto the window. Go slow and work carefully. The tape is unforgiving if installed improperly.
