Welcome in! I don’t know about it being a “loony bin” but it is friendly!
The ONLY “stupid question” is one you don’t ask. Most of the common questions we have replies to in the stickies at the top of every sub forum. After that, if search didn’t work, please ask! There are a great group of folks on the Forum Support Team, with experts in all genres, either on the FST, or in our users.
You’re going to find that the hobby has changed immensely in the last few years, so dive in, and have fun!
