Hi all. Derek asked me to see if the jig is any good
I have been having a play with it and in my opinion it's a lot of fiddling about for not a lot of gain.
First the good bits
The jig is very easy to adjust especially with the different size blocks Del had made
The deadeyes fitted snugly into the jig. I used two different sizes, 5mm-3mm .
Putting the rigging rope through the deadeyes was quite straightforward on both sizes.
Now the downside.
I can't see how you fit the shroud and the chainwhale fittings around the deadeye without altering the distance ๐ค. If you put a bit of glue to stop this happening I can't see how you adjust them after they are fitted.
So all in all good in theory but a bit of a dud.
So I will be using my cheap bit of spare planking and 4 pins ๐
But we'll done to Del for printing this out as I have know idea how this 3D witch craft works
Thanks for looking
