It was at this point i made a creative decision based on the colour scheme of U995. That is, the Galley has its lower half painted in blue. Whether this was true for other U-boats, i don't know. But i like the colour scheme and will use the term 'artistic license' if i'm ever questioned on it.

So a pencil was clamped to an engineers square and the height set. The dividing bulkhead and provisions lockers were temporarily installed while i ran a pencil line around them, as well as the bulkhead that separates the Galley from the Engine Room.

The bulkhead door was then removed and painted in the same colour scheme, as seen in the attached photo.

So more progress made on scratch-building different items to fit out the Galley.

The attached photo shows the bulkhead door, that divides the Galley from the Junior Rates Accommodation Space, fitted with working hinges. The brass wire is 0.5mm diameter and is not cut to length, merely acting to align the hinges.
