Great stuff Ian I’ll be following for sure. As you know I’ve got one of these in my stash as well. I know it’s early stages yet, but any thoughts on how you intend to tackle the nose decal? Regards Glenn

There has been a delay while I get all my components together, there’s loads of PE and extra parts, some from America and Ukraine. With regard to the PE and resin it’s some of the best I’ve seen, absolutely pin sharp. I got a one piece cockpit set for the Mil with a special PE cockpit fit out set. I’ve also got a redesign cargo bay for the helicopter with a separate photo etch interior set, as well as extra gun pods and an Eduard hellfire missile loading pod with four missiles and included PE. This is only a small portion of what is planned, I’m really excited by this build. I’ve been doing lots of research and planning as well. Regards Glenn

Not sure but I think there individual Hi Ian I think the stripes decals are individual as well, at least we know now eh! I'm glad your starting your sea knight build at the same time as my helicopter as even though they are different we can swap ideas. Regarding upgrades on your build I think there is definitely scope for upgrades to the cockpit and upgrading the cargo bay with some etch as well would be good. Just a thought but if you could light up the cargo bay as well with some LED lights that would be awesome. Regards Glenn

Hi Glenn. The stripes aren’t single there in small areas but the red and white are joined. I have brought some eduard bits and a black dog pack. I won’t be doing any mods to the inside cargo and I won’t be adding any lights to this model after doing the steam engine lot I’ve had enough of working out electrics, plus I did so much mods on the puma I just wanted a simple build. So got the extras, Will only be using the rear engine on this kit the rest I'll use on my other kit. Couldn't get the exterior version for the D so brought the E version not much difference between them. Have done much on this really except fill in 20 holes per side from the moulding process, didn't want to start painting as I've been working on the wooden kit which I've been doing a lot of sanding and cutting so dust very where My Favourite Building:- 1919 https://forum.model-spac...=339517&#post339517 -

This kit seams to be just full of mould imprints that need filling never come across a kit that need so much filler. Anyway the cargo floor is done, this is how the kit does it plain and boring. That's looking very cool so far Ian, love what you've done with the interior and can't wait to see that beautifully cast engine all painted up. This will be a fantastic model when completed I'm sure, given the amount of aftermarket detail you're adding?
Will be following with interest, keep up the good work, always great to see an aviation build diary on the forum - well done!
