Trim around the bulkhead door opening on the Accommodation Space side. Made from 0.5mm acetal strip, 4 straight lengths were cut and glued, then 4 curved pieces were formed and glued. All the scratch-built items mentioned in this weeks post. I can't really fit them yet, as i still have to make the aft escape tower. If i were to fit these items first, then i would be left with no room to make the escape tower, so it's all a bit of a jigsaw. Once the tower is made, i can then start to fit the Galley out, working towards myself as i go. Good evening from 'The Dockyard'. Continuing on from last week, i have been gradually fitting out the Galley. First job this week was to scratch-build the aft-escape tower. The attached photo shows it prior to painting. Using a compass cutter and 0.5mm thick acetal sheet, i could make several discs of various diameters and glue them together to form the profile. The locking handles were formed from brass strip, bent to shape and the hand-wheel is an after market part.
