Dear all,

As the title states, what are your thoughts regarding this question. For myself I would much prefer a 1/200 build up model or 1/350 plastic kit if I couldn’t have the build up version.

What version would you like and why? And perhaps you could give a little mention of what type of details you would like, for instance included PE, highly detailed F-35 fighters etc. Would you like electronics etc?
Kind regards

Hi Glenn,
The idea of the Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carrier sounds very appealing.
Personally, because the love the methodology, I would prefer the build up version and the plan to add fighter planes would be brilliant. Look forward to hearing more in the near future.

If 1/350 scale is good enough, you can get the basics on ebay by searching the item number on ebay that`s below:

Hi Derek,
Thanks for the link, it looks very interesting and in resin too. My only concern would be whether it would be too difficult to work with. BigGrin

Glenn, resin is the most forgiving of all the materials. Cuts well, sands beautifully, is a FUN challenge, and the best selection of the really esoteric kits is in resin.

Go for it! You’re easily up to the challenge!

Best,

Mark

Can I just ask a question, please?
Is the suggested build up version that you initially mentioned a wooden POF style of construction?
Would love to do something along those lines.

Hi Goddo,
If it was a build up model then it most likely would be a pof or screw together and plastic. But no company is doing it yet, here’s hoping Drool

Would prefer Enterprise, which was banded about the forum years ago. Admittedly that was by Tomick so who knows

It would be good to add another aircraft carrier to the forum, Enterprise would be good or what about a 1/200 WW2 HMS Ark Royal in that scale. Drool
