Another little update on this one, which I'm actually taking slowly as I've got lots of other stuff on the go at present.

Front end has a few more added parts - not much extra detailing here other than battery leads and hose clips etc. Some 'extra' wiring, plumbing etc will be added though.
Dashboard sorted and in place.

Actually, because I'm taking an age over this build, it's a bit more enjoyable, rather than plastic-bashing solidly all day.

BTW - The circular marks on the cabin floor aren't ejection pin sink marks. They are part of the floor detail.

Thanks for peeping in and the kind words chaps.

A bit more on the front end.
The fuel tank has been assembled and fitted, and the fire extinguisher plus some other bits have been added.

Quite a few additional pipes and braided lines were put in as they are missing from the kit, as were the expansion tubes on the fuel tank and some small bits of wiring for the sender unit, and the wash bottle.

The cross brace over it all was a tight fit so I drilled and screwed it into place to prevent it ever coming loose on one corner - or more.

I'm being somewhat tardy on this build. Far too much to do on the run up to Christmas, and now loads of clearing up...

Anyway, a little done.

The roll cage has been assembled, cleaned up and fitted and the nose section now has about 6 layers of paint. Absolutely no need for a clear coat.
Masking the lower red section was a fiddle, but all sorted.

Headlamps put together - clear lenses still to fit.
The nose is just placed to see how it looks.

Roy.

Well, believe it or not, I've pulled this one back to the top of the 'to do' pile.
I'm a bit gobsmacked at how long ago I put it aside.

Anyway it's been hiding under a couple more 1/8 Entex Lotus 72's that will eventually be gold leaf colours. The pile has swapped around and the Porsche is back on top.

Away we go again.

Back with this one for a while now.

All the body panels and parts have been prepped and painted now and I've started to add the umpteen decals.
This is so I can let them dry and clear coat the body before assembling it all.
Much easier than trying to mask everything for clear coating after the model is built.BigGrin

Right. All the decals are now sorted.
Surprisingly, the large complicated looking rear Martini stripes went on quite easily and followed the compound curves of the body very well. Only a few dabs of Microsol here and there.

48 hours to dry and then a couple of clear coats over it all.

Doors to build up, wheels and other assorted body details and then it will be put it all together.BigGrin

Many thanks you guys.

OK - All the component parts are built.
I'm going to allow some bits a further 24 hours for any recent glue to harden off and then it will be final assembly which 'hopefully' will go ok as it's all pretty much screwed together from now on.
Next update will be in the completed section of the forum.
