Hi All, Thanks Mark for the comment. Fitted some of the hanger deck structure so that the sides of the hull could be completed. Time to get the masking tape out and start spraying the hull. Ken attached the following image(s): Ken

Hi All, Hull completed and painted. Prop shafts made up ready for painting before fixing. Masking tape has been left on the decks as detail has to be added to already positioned structures before final paint. Noticed on pictures some bleed through of paint under masking tape. Something to touch up later. Ken attached the following image(s): Ken

Hi Guys, Thanks for the comments. The build does seem to be going quick, but being retired I now have a lot of time to spend building models. Progress will slow down when the detailing work is being done. Will keep posting. Ken

Hi Guys, Progress has mainly been in the bow area. This is the first stage as more parts will be added later to support the flight deck. A set of laser cut card parts are available as part of the card Kit and these are being used as the detail is very good and also difficult to cut out accurately. All laser cut pieces are sealed with thin superglue prior to painting. Ken attached the following image(s): Ken

Hi All, Thanks for the comments. Work has progressed to the hanger deck structure. Using the laser cut card as supplied with kit stuck using a card glue. Work to starboard side is going to be completed first before the inside details. Used the card spacers where needed and stuck to the plastic card using a RC modellers glue that I have had for ages (now discontinued), but looking for an alternative. Completed parts are dry fitted at the moment. Ken attached the following image(s): Ken

Hi All Comments are appreciated and will keep on posting. Starboard side progressing well. Have added internal detail and have left all roller shutter doors in an open position so that it can be seen when flight deck is fitted. Ken attached the following image(s): Ken

Hi Ken Enjoying your progress…she’s lookin good I take it that the “raised” details like pipe work etc are copied from the the “flat” detail printed on the card using appropriate sizes of styrene etc Will look fwd to next update

Hi Budgie, Thank you for your comment. You are correct in your guess. I am using styrene rod, copper wire to bring out the details that are lines on the flat card by best guess. Ken Ken
