Hi All,

I live in Reno, Nevada (pronounced Nev-aaaaa-duh) As I am sure many of you have seen on the news, there are 2 fires going near Reno, with both of them totaling over 1 million acres burnt.

The Caldor fire (pictured first) is 47 miles away.

The Second fire, the Dixie fire, is about 60 miles away.

The smoke has been insane, with less than 1/2 mile (1km) visibility most days. The wind has kept the smoke away from Reno today, as you can see from the photos below.

stay well,

Mark

That has to be scary Mark. My prayers are with you all that the fire doesn't make it to Reno.

That looks grim.
All the best to you and yours.
Hopefully it will be over before too long.

Wow!! Those last two photos look very apocalyptic Mark! Blink Scared

I would be very worried even though the actual event is happening that far away from you. It only takes a sudden shift in wind speed and direction and you'd be in great danger.

Stay safe Mark and I hope that it doesn't get any closer to you and yours! ThumpUp

Kev
