Issue/Stage 77 Contains – Rear fuselage top support, landing gear lockout extension cable 10, Droid socket front and back panels, 8 x XW08 screws.

Wiring the control board.

Take the gear landing extension socket and fit the cable through the bulkhead hole as before. Fit the wire through and connect it to socket 10. Take the power socket and the switch and feed them through the bottom. Note, the power socket goes to the left-hand side as you are looking down at it. The switch will go to the right-hand side. Be very careful when pulling it through and make sure it is not snagged onto anything, as it could dislodge the cable from the solder joints.
Now connect the droid motor assembly making sure the wires running across the area where the motor will fit are neatly out the way. Fit the droid motor using the three XW08 screws supplied in the mounting posts. Fit the droid motor wire in the corresponding sockets, then take the wire labelled 11 and fit through the bulkhead as you did with wires 9 and 10. Replace the brace holding the wires in place.

Fitting the fuselage top

Take the fuselage top and fit as shown. Caution, make sure all the cables are away from the mounting points as it is easy for them to get snagged as you fit the assembly.
Now fit the four XW08 screws as shown.

Now you can test the droid socket. Place the two droid panels as shown in place with the two tabs on each. Place R2-D2 into the droid socket, switch on, press the droid button on the remote to check the lights come on.

This issue/stage is now complete. Store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Issue/Stage 78 Contains – Hyperdrive mounting, Power convertors (5 parts), power generator, connecting pipes (12 on sprue) .

Power generator

Take all 5 power converters and fit together so the end holes all face the same way and that the part with the smaller two lugs are on the bottom. Fit onto the hyperdrive mounting. Take the power generator and fit as shown, note that it will fit only one way and one of the lugs is larger than the other.
Now take the sprue with the pipes on and fit the pipes with their corresponding numbers on both the power converter and power generator.
Note, I found the best order to fit these on was in this order.
1,2,3,4,9,10,5,6,7,8,11,12.
I also used a little glue to hold these in place once fitted.

This issue/stage is now complete. Store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Issue/Stage 79 Contains – Cooling system mount, left hyperdrive mount (two halves), left and right heat exchangers (both halves), transfer chamber (two halves), transfer pipes left and right, connecting pipes (left and right), transfer chamber (two halves), connecting pipes left and right.

Hyperdrive cooling system.

Fit the cooling system mount and take two halves of the transfer chamber and fit together. These had been pre done on mine as all the parts have been repainted as seen. Fit the assembly as shown, note the D-shaped lug at the bottom. Take the two halves of the heat exchanger and the transfer pipe and assemble the parts together. The two exchangers have A1 and A2 on all the parts that correspond with each one of the two. Assemble both the exchangers as shown connecting both to the transfer pipe. Take the left and right connecting pipes and assemble as shown. Again,
I used a little glue to hold in place once assembled. Line up the top vent so you can fit the tab on the end into the slot in the centre of the cooling system mount. Press the vent down flush, so the assembly looks as shown.
Take the four parts of the hyperdrive jet mounts and match the D shape lug and two locating pins to bot assemblies. Keep these parts safe until it is time to fit them.

This issue/stage is now complete. Store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Issue/Stage 80 Contains – Hyperdrive jet halves (four on each sprue), Left and right fuselage frames (x6), hyperdrive jet end plates (x2).

Assembling the hyperdrive jets

Take the hyperdrive jet parts off the sprue and fit the 8 halves together so you have 4 jets. Take the jet mounts from the previous stage and fit two jets to each mount as shown. Then fit the end plates pushing the lugs into the holes on the jets.

This issue/stage is now complete. Store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.
