had a response back from shapeways
not looking good
paid in full
no phone number
but now using excuses why they can not produce the product ordered
be very carefull when ordering custom detail products
there means of communication is via email only
if question are asked you will not receive a response
you all have been advised
thanks

Is that correct?

5 x 1/8 scale valves - nearly £100...?

Roy.

That’s a bit pricey to say the least IMO, while I’m on the subject has anyone priced up the products of 29 Design

John, you might want to check these out here. They look pretty close to more modern valve stems, even though they're meant for Pocher Mercedes of the '30's. They sell some other items that also might come in handy.

Hi there, I agree with Roymattblack;
I ordered these very items (in white) while I was building the De Ag Jag and I didn't pay more than £20 ish.
It does seem extraordinary expensive.

my closing statement on this topic
Thoroughly vet the organisation you are ordering custom parts from
Glossy websites and fancy write up
Do not work
As any company can
Say a lot, listen a lot, but do very little
This was my experience with Shapeways
Be very careful
I now consider this post now closed
Thank you

Ok I’ve just seen this one, these are my design on shapeways.

Shapeways changed there print process and unfortunately they can’t do these in the material you asked for, I did message you via shapeways informing you of the issue and that I was trying to sort it but I didn’t get a reply so cancelled the order and you should have got a full refund from shapeways, and I’ve now removed that material from the list.

I don’t think they cost you £99 pound as there only listed for £5 each, where as the set of 6 would have cost you £12+

Shapeways is a good place to buy and sell 3D printed items, just sometimes they change there printers and it courses design issues.

Yes, RB Motion has great 1/8 valve stems. I used them on the Senna 1/8 McLaren I built. Here's the link to the valve stems:
