That is some very neat work Ken.

And your detailing looks very effective.

Very nice work Ken and all the more impressive since this is to all intents and purposes a scratchbuilt model, albeit converted from a card model? Great skills on show here!

Looking good, keep up the good work. Cool ThumpUp

Hi All,

Thanks Kev for the comment.

Been busy with the flight deck support trusses which thankfully have been laser cut.

Started work on the stern details.

Hi All.

It's been quite a while since I posted any updates. Work has progressed steadily.
I was originally going to plank the deck with 1mm strips, but decided to use the printed card as i would never have achieved the same level of detail.

All the anti-aircraft gun positions have been fitted - the guns will be built and fitted later.

Hi Ken

I commented a couple of weeks ago, but seems it disappeared...Blink
Lovely build you're doing there, the detail is terrific - how do you do the handrails? Are they supplied ready made in the kit? Or separate stancions and rails. I'm wondering how to do them on my build (7mm high 3 rail...Confused BigGrin

Hi all,

Its been quite a while since the the last update.

The island is now complete and ready to be fixed into its final position. All the radar sets are assembled from the laser cut card as supplied with the kit.

Next is the assembly of all the ships armament.
