Hello everyone I've come back to finish my Victory and I'm approaching stage when I will be starting the rigging. I'm watching few sites regarding rigging accuracy and I'm not to happy with the ropes and blocks quality from the kit. I mean some of the stuff is ok but some will need to changing. I'm thinking about making static rigging ropes myself and I wonder what size thread should I start with to keep things in scale? Should I use hemp thread or synthetic one? Did you use bee's wax? I will be wrapping some ropes so I need some advice on this too. Has anybody tried to do it themselves? Any tips or tricks? Gosh I hope you can shine some light as I'd like to make her look extra special :) Thanks Tom

Try having a look at some of the videos this young lady posts on youtube. she has done video updates on both rope making and rope serving. Might give an idea of just what is involved. Hope it might help and good luck in your endeavours. https://youtube.com/c/OlhaBatchvarov

Thanks Tony, to be honest I have already found her. She did incredible work on her Victory and when I was looking at the level of detail it just blew my mind. I'm thinking of redoing the sails too after seeing how she did this. I will need to have another look and I want to make my rigging a piece of art. Thanks and happy building ;) Regards Tom

His skill levels are way, way above anything I could achieve. Thank you for sharing the link. Much appreciated. Chris
