I have purchased 40 yards of 5 x 2 mm to plank the Endeavour because the planks supplied with the build, like Karl said were inconsistant MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

ISSUE 35 Another dissapointment from this part work, I presume the planking is still being applied to the Hull, while we are told to build the second part of the The fore hatchway hood (we have received more planking at least) It does not get any better in issue 36, we get Quarterdeck companionway parts. What we need is the formers to complete the Hull at the bow and stern, then we can double plank, calm down Mike MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

ISSUE 36 Much of the same guys, how to build a hatch cover, they acknowledge we are still planking. issue 37 does not appear to get any better, but I will hang on in there and finish and improve the build as I go along. Ian you are right the Quality of the parts and build of the VICTORY is far superior, the two vessels are not in the same league. Hi Alan it should make the build more interesting, as well as giving points of reference MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

Hi
Sorry to but in I am doing Endeavour from Eaglemoss too. My wife subscribed to it for me. I just wanted to to tell you we got a letter from DB factories saying we hadn't paid last bill. When she phoned to say they had it wrong we had, she got told their computors where down and they didn't know who had or hadn't paid so they sent letter to everyone.
Also the hinges supplied on sheet, there should be 8 but there are only 7 they say they are sending extra out (at no expense WOW)
This build is a nightmare with all the faults but what can you do? what a waste of £200 IF YOU STOP NOW.
Again sorry to but in just wanted to to share my feelings.
Steph

Hi Steph sorry for your problems, unfortunetley there is nothing I can do because I am not connected in any way to Eaglemoss I am like you a customer of theirs, please contact their customer service, soory I can not help you more. If I can help you with your build you only have to ask MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

Hi Benny, i am like you getting it weekly from newsagents, and saving it up, it seems a really slow build after speaking to and watching mwg and others builds. the quality of some parts is iffy to say the least, but as stated i am not building it yet. i will continue to buy this one but will not buy anything else from this company. the magazines do give good information to let you feel how they would live through these times. it to me at least seems like the model is not put together by experts (unlike victory where we are spoiled)but is aimed at total novices or younger modellers at the end of the day. dont know what deck fittings will be like but...... if the parts so far are anything to go by current builds
