Hi Chris, the last pic I can see was posted October 24 but I think there are a few before that I couldn't see as well.
Man he took his time in the sun
Had a dream to understand
A single grain of sand
He gave birth to poetry
But one day will cease to be
Greet the last light of the library...We were here!

Thanks for your responses guys.
Due to the skill and diligence of John (z8000783) it seems the previous images are now all visible.
All thanks must go to him. I’m very grateful.

My pleasure Chris.

It's a real shame not to see ALL the pictures from a great build.

No pics this time as progress has been very slow due to health issues.
I have a question though, if I may?
I seem to remember reading someone’s diary where they had fitted flags into the flag locker……I may be wrong!
As I have been fiddling around trying to roll these little b******s for some time, maybe there is a diary that shows a sensible way to do it?
Thanks in advance.
Chris

Well, it’s been some time since I put up some photos of my build but here goes.
I fitted the bowsprit in the sequence advised by the instructions but quickly realised that because of the smallish work-top space that I currently have, it would be better without it while rigging the bottom halves of the masts as I was switching the ship from side to side. I therefore took it off again and at the same time fitted the netting on either side of the bowsprit. One other small hiccup that I had was with the foremast shrouds. I managed to snip through one of them when I was fitting the catharpins which entailed removal of all the shrouds and repairing the damage. Not the end of the world but a bit of extra time involved. I also made an attempt at some furled flags in the rear flag lockers. There are also a couple of gratuitous photos included here.
So, see what you think and any comments, constructive or not will be appreciated. Thanks.
Stay safe.

Great work as ever Chris, well done.

Will definitely sort out the flags as well, they really add a nice touch.

Wow that's great work here. I like the flags and I think I'll be doing the same thing on mine too.
I didn't get this far with rigging on mine yet, I managed to get all shrouds fitted on all masts but didn't touched deadeyes yet. I hope to post some update this week but I need decent photos of it all :)

I can't wait for another update as things are getting exciting the closest you get to fitting sails ;)

All the best
Tom

The flags in the locker are a great touch it's a shame i can't do it at my scale, we all have hiccups where things go wrong and i'm sure it wont be the last time, i'm glad you got it sorted, it's looking great.

A little bit of modelling going on as well as some running repairs to the main mast damage that I managed to inflict. Not serious but will take a bit of time. I have made up the lanterns and prepared the upper piece of bowsprit decking. Pics to follow on that one.
In the meantime, I managed to buy this second hand copy of Longridge book of Nelsons Ships at a very reasonable price. It's in excellent condition and no pages missing! I'm looking forward to reading through it when time permits.
Apologies for appalling picture. Not really with it this morning Huh Huh

Hi, great purchase. I managed to get mine for £15 on Ebay and it was the best purchase ever. So much details and knowledge. I've started my rigging just off this book and the difference it makes to the model is crazy.

I've got a feeling that you will be tempted to look into the masts and shrouds again as I'm not sure what method you have used with your Victory...

Regards
Tom

Hi Tom, good advice about amendments to rigging. I’ll take a closer look as soon as possible.
We are currently enjoying some sunshine abroad before coming back to cold and damp!

A little bit of modelling done after a bit of a lay-off with health issues.
I started setting up the shrouds (for the second time) and hopefully I can progress with this for a while now.
Comments, good bad or indifferent are all welcome.
