So I've been wanting to do something to make my build unique but not change the car historically and with the recent pack with the Exhaust headers I got my chance.
There was no way I was gonna leave them black. So I went for a heat-stained look.
with no air brush and not having done this technique before, I think they turned out pretty good.

Very nice!
I was drowning my sorrows. But my sorrows they'd learned to swim.

Spray paints are all Testors enamel.
Base coat everything silver.

Starting at the collectors, spray gold leaving just bits of silver peeking through here & there as you go. Build up the gold toward the cylinder head ends.

Each exhaust runner sprayed separately, using transparent blue at the cylinder head ends, spray letting the transition from blue to gold blend on it's own.

W/O an airbrush I was pleased at how well this worked out.
