Issue 136 Here we assemble the first half of the stand with the battery box in it. Add couple cross brace struts one across were hull removable plate is one across the propeller gearbox to pull the sides in at this point so rear deck does not fall into ship a real pain to do this now with all decks connected up electric wise. Issue 137 Here we continue the stand with its electrics and speaker fitted, the switch on this is touch sensitive but won't work via the plastic button fitted in stand though I got replacement switch for this it's just the same but they work via a touch with bare finger to this end I removed the plastic switch plate and cut out the bit of black plastic covering the hole were switch is fitted,so just the spring is visible in hole a touch on spring with bare finger and it turns on and off no problem why it don't work with plastic touching it God knows. Then just 3 ladders to attach to hanger doors, final bit of handrail around front superstructure and 8 more aa guns. Issue 138 Here we complete the stand it could have been sturdier in my opinion. Then assemble and fit the anchor buoys, a small bit of grating over front anchor hole, then fit the front anchor with its chain stoppers and the rear anchor chain stoppers. Put the boat on the stand switch on and all 4 main turrets will initialise ie turn one way rest for few seconds then return to center and stop mine does what it's supposed to do. That's me caught up now just 2 issues to go the remote control and rigging. Hi all, If you find the touch switch on the stand does not respond to touch but works when removed the solution may be to remove the transparent cover piece and reassemble it. I have a problem with some touch screens etc. which I think is due to a high resistance in my skin and this solved the problem. Hachette customer service have no information on the electronics but were helpful in providing a replacement for my first switch which unfortunately made no difference. It would be nice if somehow Hachette could provide some details of the electronics and wiring to enable trouble shooting. Tony.

Hi I did remove the plastic cover to the switch and cut out the black tab over it works fine that way ,I completed the Bismarck yesterday only thing that don't work is one the front anchors the chain is getting caught somewhere but cant see when its all together where and bow light ,the bulb works fine the fibre optic cable needs replacing, but going to let it go at that as all other functions work fine, and as have now done all the rigging it's very difficult to gain access to inside anyway, and as I rarely play with them when complete I'm ok with it as it is. Hi, I have completed the build and all functions appear to work as they should. One mistake would appear to be that the secondary guns on the Right/Starboard side work in reverse, I assume that the designer overlooked the fact that the control would need to be reversed. I am also finding that the remote control box drains the batteries in a week even when not in use, has anybody else had this happen?
