lol.. like I'll have the time mate!!

Ok this is how it's done

1mm plastic card cut to a lenght of 86mm X 20mm wide
Mark out the lengths as shown.

Longest is the middle sandwiched beetween the other 4 as shown. Wait for glue to dry for at least a few hours then sand flat one side. Use this flat edge as your template of the "aero" effect ( I'll show these later)

Start to file down the leading edges and use the original Top Camera pod as a guide so to get the right form..

Bottom pic is with carbon decal on top..needs bottom decal then coat of lacquer

If you can, use Squadron Model filler.. I have milliput but it tends to crumble too much. Squadron has a bonding agent that sticks to the plastic like rocking horse stuff without melting the plastic too much..

Warthog - where do you get your materials from? I've been looking on hiroboy but it always seems to be sold out!
Apologies for constantly asking Q's!

The cam housing looks brilliant by the way. Top work!

Yes I agree with them, thanks a lot for your contributions mate.
I have a quick questions, your finished model, well unpainted air box cam housing, how did you get it so smooth?
Did you use the squadron to make it smooth?
Thanks again mate!

I use needle files and a material called "MicroMesh" it's like sand paper but cloth so its flexible.. been using it for over 10 years and never wears out. Use with water like "wet and Dry" sandpaper... Final pic is 1/2mm plastic card wrapped around Camera box to give "raised detail.. This will then be primmed and then carbon fibre added then Lacquered.. once the main airbox part arrives then the other side will be filled etc to fit.. I'll do this by adding a few pins and then 2 holes drilled into the side to attach.. I'll add more as ai go along and I hope you all don't mind me adding these to this thread?

Hey guys

Don't know if any one else has noticed, but in issue 28 at the back "assembling the gearbox cowl 4" The black and white image of the car that highlights the area being worked on shows the airbox camera

So yes double confirmation now that it will be included in the build BigGrin
