Hi all,

I got myself some Samsung 30Q 18650 batteries, but all six have some strange burn marks on the positive terminal. The batteries appear to be fine otherwise. So before I try charging them, I wanted to check ask - does anyone know if this is something normal from the manufacturing process, or should I be worried that the batteries are defective?

Cheers
Nathan

The burn marks on the connectors are most commonly caused by the production process where the contact tabs are welded onto the battery and sometimes leave burn marks. They should be fine to use.
