Issue 19 The main problem I have had is small tubes to fit over pins that are too large. The tube collapses instead of sliding over the pin. I finished up making a small slit in the end of the tube and then using superglue to hold it. Your build is looking fantastic  , just wondering if the steering damper is metal or plastic. If deliveries go to plan you should have it finished by the end of the year. Something positive to come out of 2020 after all  .

Bandit 750 and Roy, Thanks for looking in and comments, the steering damper cylinder and shaft are metal, regulator and regulator rod are plastic. Unless something goes adrift completion should be November (fingers crossed) Alec Built: Bluenose, Arab Dhow, HMS Bounty, Hummer H1, D51, Spitfire,E type Jaguar.

Hi Alec, Builds looking great. We appear to be at a very similar stage however I have no idea where the ends of 2 tubes connected to the tube connectors on the right handlebar need to to be connected. Every image I see appears to have them just tucked under the handlebars not actually connected to anything. I have looked everywhere and can’t find anything that tells me. Do you happen to know where they go? Thanks Stuart

Hi Stuart, Not a clue! I, like you have searched everywhere and can find nothing. They appear to cross to the left side and then disappear, what we need is a real biker to advise us. I suspect that the tubes or are they wires connect to somewhere that is no longer accessible on the model. What they do on a real bike I have no idea. Hi
With reference to the cables they are the throttle, accelerate and return cables. On many motorcycles there is a cutout in the frame on the left hand side where they pass through and attach to the throttle bodies.
In the case of this model I will just be placing them underneath the airbox when I get that far. But if I can I will have a look to see if they are long enough to actually get them to reach the throttle bodies. Means removing the airbox though.
Hope this helps a bit

Thanks all for such prompt replies. I was however worried that this would the case. Without somewhere to put them my OCD is gonna go into overdrive.
The cables definitely aren’t long enough to reach the throttle bodies, certainly not from the left side anyway. I may just have to place them under the air box too.
Seems strange however that they would go to such lengths to create such an accurate representation and then neglect this component when the solution seems so simple?

It has been great to be ale to follow your build and the photos are a big help too The old saying a picture saves a thousand words comes to mind , Will be great to see the rest of your build you are doing a great job sir for sure, I have just got my first box a few weeks ago and cannot wait for the next one this is going a frustrating time all the waiting LOL But really looking forward to getting going Regards Tony Our Dog used to chase the Bloke next door on his bike , It got that bad we had to take his bike off him
