Here’s the next project…. The MFH 1/12 Lotus 49. I’m going to build the 1968 Jim Clark South African GP version. It was Clark’s 4th win at Kyalami but sadly his last F1 victory.
I’ve unpacked the kit, identified ( always tricky with these kits ) and bagged up the parts roughly by assembly. Next will be fitting and cleaning before painting and building.
Let's see how this goes....BigGrin

Looks a beautiful kit of an iconic car Malc, and knowing the quality of a 1:12 MFH kit from first hand experience, I have no doubt that this jumble of parts will morph into a stunning model when you apply your personal skills as a modeller!

Looking forward to following your build diary and posting comment along the way! Drool Drool ThumpUp

Thanks for the comments guys.BigGrin
Started the process, as I normally do with these MFH kits, of separating the parts into assembly stages. Then cleaning and fitting ( drilling, tapping ect. ) before any actual building takes place.
This model has a lot of internal detail in the DFV which seems a little crazy since it’ll never be seen again but it's a nice challenge to get it all to turn. Here’s the block and crank. BigGrin BigGrin

As with a lot of larger kits, there are a great deal of moving parts etc that will never be seen.
But the fun is in the building and the satisfaction gained from knowing that it is properly constructed but above all there is an "I built that" warm feeling achieved.
Well done RM1, off to a great start and look forward to watching the build diary progress.
