Issue 13, Part 1

Assembling the Right Leg

In this issue I will be separating it into two parts.

Picture 1 shows the parts for this issue.
Take the parts shown in picture 2, place the knee shaft into the knee joint as shown in picture 3, lining the slots up as also shown in the picture. Place a washer over the shaft into the slot as shown in picture 4 and on the joint in picture 5.
Tip: To stop the washers from falling out while assembling the parts, I used a dab of Pritt-stick to hold them in place.
Picture 6 shows the assembly so far. Carefully place the part down, as it is not secure until the next step assembly.
Gather the next parts as shown in picture 7 and place the nut as shown in picture 8. Note which way the smaller end of the nut is positioned. Close the assembly with the hinge part as shown in picture 9 with 2 x NM screws.
Take the upper knee frame part and fit the two washers as shown in pictures 10 and 11, again, I used some Pritt-stick to hold them in place.
Now push this into the previous assembly, rotating it back and forth motion to fit in. Note: it is quite stiff so a little force might be necessary, picture 12. Locate the bolt and a washer and flat washer, picture 13 and place the washer in order as shown in picture 14. Secure the bolt using the small spanner provided, picture 15.

That completes part 1 of issue 13.

Issue 13, Part 2

Assembling the Right Leg

Place a knee washer into the recess as shown in picture 16, and do the same with the knee assembly, picture 17. Bring the pieces together as shown in picture 18 and secure it with 2 x NM screws, picture 19.
Locate the parts as shown in picture 20 and fit one of the holes of the rear plate joint onto the inner pin of the rear shield plate, picture 21. Secure with an MP screw and washer, picture 22.
Attach the assembly with a HM screw and washer as indicated in pictures 23 and 24.
Push the side shield plate part onto the main assembly with a pin as shown in picture 25.
Push the pin through securing the assembly, picture 26. Note: I used a small pair of pliers to gently push the pin through.
Warning: Test fit this part making sure you have the correct positioning before pushing in the pin as it would be quite tricky removing the pin once secured.

That completes this assembly for this issue, picture 27.

Issue 14, Part 1

Assembling the Right Leg

I will also be breaking this issue into two parts.

Picture 1 shows the parts with this issue.
Locate the parts as shown in picture 2, placing the locking nut into the centre ring as shown in picture 3. Assemble the bolt, washer and flat washer as shown in picture 4 and push the bolt through until it reaches the ring part as shown in picture 5. Tighten it up using the small spanner supplied with this pack, picture 6.
Now fit the blade part into the hole as shown in picture 7 making sure the end is behind the blue plate as shown in picture 8.
Next, retrieve the washer from issue 13 and the knee joint end from this issue, picture 9. Place the washers on either side of the main assembly as shown in picture 10, again I used some Pritt-stick to hold the washer in position. Place the knee joint end with the point facing upwards and place over the washers, picture 11. Secure with the NP screw, picture 12.

That completes Part 1.

Issue 14, Part 2

Assembling the Right Leg

Fit the cylinder plate into the rear leg cylinder, picture 13 and 14. Now attach the cylinder plate pin, picture 15 and fix it with the pin provided, inserting the end without the grooves. Apply a little pressure using a small pair of pliers, pictures 16 and 17.
Next, move the plate as circled in picture 18 to allow positioning of the assembled cylinder, arrowed in the same picture. Using a HM screw and washer, picture 19, attach it as shown in picture 20.
Snap together the two outer A and B ring support plates so that the shape of the edges match, picture 21. Add the knee protection ring snapping the three pins together, picture 22. Now fix the two end caps, noting the orientation of the parts as shown in picture 23. Now attach the assembly as shown in picture 24.

That completes this issue, picture 25.

Issue 15

Assembling the Right Leg

Picture 1
shows the contents of the parts for this issue.
Connect the two wheel parts together as shown is picture 2 and secure with 4 x IP screws, picture 3.
Now stretch and fit over the tyre until it fits over completely as shown in picture 4.
Tip. To make it easier to fit over, place the tyre in some hot water for around 30 seconds. This will soften the tyre enough to make it more pliable to fit over the wheel.
Now fit on the hubcap pressing the four studs into the wheel assembly. Picture 5.
Next, fit over the cover on the tyre, note that it fits into the notches as indicated with circles in picture 6.

That completes this issue, picture 7.

Issue 16

Assembling the Right Leg

Picture 1
shows the contents of the parts for this issue.
Insert the upper leg ball joint into the inside of the frame, picture 2 and 3, and secure with 2 x MP screws, picture 4.
Fit the arm into the lower notch and fix it with the long screw QP, pictures 5 and 6.
Now fit the assembly to the right leg as shown in picture 7 fixing it with an HM screw and washer, pictures 8 and 9.
Fit the end cap into the recess of the upper thigh plate, pictures 10 and 11.
Next, fit the secondary thigh plate using an MP screw, pictures 12 and 13.
Now attach the assembly as shown in picture 14, pushing on the part gently.
Attach the lower thigh detail into the three post as shown in picture 15.
Add the lower thigh plate, positioning it carefully and press it into place, picture 16.
That completed section is shown in picture 17.
Finally, attach the wheel, from issue 15, and snap it onto the ball joint as shown in picture 18.
Pictures 19 and 20 show the complete assembly on both sides.

That completes this issue.
