Hi All,
Its been a while since the last post on this one, but the nice postman dropped off pack 2 this very morning. So here`s the first update that covers Issue 3, where we start to build the engine.
For means of clarification when parts are orientated Left (L) or Right (R) that is stated as if you were sat in the drivers seat looking toward the front of the car.
You will also see that in the attached pictures I have highlighted the L and R markings as they appear on the relevant parts.
Parts supplied ..... Pic 1.
On the underside of the top of the engine (3A) you can see the "L" and "R" marks as highlighted in Pic 2.
We will start with the Right side assembly, so locate the parts 3D and 3E that will be marked with an "R" as shown in Pics 3 and 4.
The combined rocker shaft and gasket (3E) has two pins on its underside that locate into two holes in the main engine part, so that the parts sit as shown in Pic 5. Now place the (R) valve cover (3D) on top of the previous parts where two posts on the inside will locate the part correctly. Pic 6. Carefully holding all three parts together, turn them over and fix them together with the use of 2 x DS01 screws. Pic 7.
The left side of the assembly takes the same methods as the right and this is shown in Pics 8,9 and 10 with the finished assembly shown in Pic 11.
That completes this issues update and Issue 4 will be next where we start work on the left side door.
So, see you soon and take care.

Hello Again,
Time for the second update of this pack, Issue 4. In this session we will start the construction of the left hand door. There are lots of little parts to add to the large outer door panel.
Parts supplied in Pic 1.
Start by placing the lock cylinder (4G) into the lowest of the three holes on the outside of the door panel Pic 2, then holding the lock in place secure it using a PS12 screw from the inside of the door Pic 3.
The door mirror consists of three parts. The arm (4I), the mirror body (4J) and the reflective plate (4K). Position the mirror body onto the arm (they can only fit together one way as the locating lugs are different sizes), then fix the parts together using a PS09 screw from the inside of the mirror body Pic 4. Note: The mirrored plate has a protective film on it and I would leave it in place until much later in the build to protect it from damage during storage. Now press the mirrored plate into position where it locates onto two pins inside the mirror body Pic 5.
Collect the door handle and the door. The handle has a large and a small post on it and these fit through the upper holes in the outside of the door Pic 6. Holding the part in place fix it using a PS09 screw from the inside of the door Pic 7.
Looking along the top edge of the door you will see a slot through it. Pass the bottom edge of the mirror arm through this slot and secure the mirror to the inside of the door using 2 x DS13 screws. Pic 8.
We now turn our attention to the working door locking mechanism.
Pic 9, gives a detailed view of the Inner lock flange (4D). Take note as to the shape and which end fits onto the upper mounting post on the inside of the door. Now position it and secure it using 2 x DS13 screws as shown in Pic 10.
Pass the silvered door release button (from the inside of the door), through the remaining centre hole of the three indicated earlier, making sure the angled lug sits inside the oblong space formed inside the door. Pic 11. The RED arrow indicates the lug position.
Next position the spring onto the longer end of the lock bar. Pic 12. Then on the inside of the door position the end of the lock bar with the spring on it into the inner lock flange (fixed earlier) and lay the bar as shown in Pic 13. Lastly, making sure the lock bar stays in position, place the cover plate (4E) over the lock bar noting that it will trap the short end of the bar in place and secure it using a DS13 screw. Pic 14. Note: If all is correct, gently press the door release button from the outside of the door and the lock bar should be seen to move on the inside. Only a few millimetres, but it will be enough to release the door when fitted into the car body later.
That ends this update where the outside of your door should be the same as shown in Pic 15.
Issue 5 will start the construction of the first seat.
See you soon.

Hi All,
Time for the Issue 5 update of the Mustang. This is the last update for the pack and is the start of the Left Front Seat (Drivers). In it we will begin the assembly of the seat back.
Parts supplied in Pic 1.
To start, insert the backrest frame (5A) inside of the backrest (5B) making sure that the frame is fully inside the backrest on all sides. Pic 2.
Keeping the backrest in the same position press the centre trim (5E) into the centre slot in the backrest, with the flat side facing upward. Pic 3. If the centre trim is correctly position it should look the same as Pic 4 when you turn the backrest over.
Now turn the backrest over and position the silvered trim (5D) in place so that it fully engages with the black frame Pic 5. When correctly positioned fix it in place by using 4 x PS14 screws. Pic 6.
Finally take the foam padding piece (5C) and note the oval shaped indentation in one side. Pic 7. This piece now fits inside the rear of the backrest, with the indentation placed over the centre trim piece. Pic 8. That ends this update Pic 9.
NOTE: that the foam insert is not fixed in place at this time so should be stored very carefully until required at a future time.
I`m now at the mercy of the next delivery, so take care until I see you next time.
