I have posted many large F1 car builds with tobacco sponsors on, Marlboro, Gitanes (just recently) and numerous JPS.
I'm guessing the difference here might be because this kit is a DeAgostini product.

Hi All,  I have today received an answer to this question. It is now illegal to show the tobacco advertising and to that end Deagostini have been asked to remove the decals from the kit. I have been informed that the decals will not be included in the kit in the second roll-out for that reason. Sorry, but it is what it is. If the cigarette sponsor's decals are not included in future stages, then they are available as 3rd party decals in both 1:8 and 1:43 scale. Although the 1:8 scale ones are at a hefty price. It's annoying they have taken this stance as I was going to do a full build log. But I'm not going to faf about making sure certain images don't show the cigarette sponsorship logos. DeAgostini's web site still says ' Original sponsorship decals are delivered as separate stickers that you can apply onto your finished model' so we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Let's wait and see what happens with the decals.
If they do get dropped, I will be making a set available at a sensible cost.
They will be on Ebay and I'll post a link if/when the time comes.

Unfortunately the 1:8 are a complete set of decals, not just the cigarette sponsors'. They come in at a hefty price of 69 euros with 9 euros postage. https://www.tbdecalsmode...a-decal-tb-decal-tbd771

None of the lining and decals other than the cigarette sponsors will be needed.
I'm pretty sure ONLY the cigarette decals will be missing.
All the others are left in on the kit advertising, in booklets etc, and on parts of the kit already.
