Hi All,
It`s update time for Issue 20 of the 1:6 Shelby Mustang.
In this update we will continue the construction of the front passenger seat.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1. You will also need the backrest assembly from Issue 19.
Fit the front seat base frame 20-A underneath the seat base 20-B, making sure the parts locate together at the points indicated in Pic 2.
Next, fit the left lower trim 20-D in place. Locate the tabs in the slots indicated in Pic 3. Then repeat for the right lower trim 20-E. Pic 4.
Take part 20-C (the backrest outer shell) and note the three locating pins. Pic 5. Now retrieve the backrest assembly from Issue 19 and locate the pins of the backrest outer shell into the relevant holes. Carefully press the parts together at the points shown in Pic 6, then when fully engaged the backrest should be the same as in Pic 7.
That`s all for this update. Pic 8.
See you soon for the update of Issue 21, where we will complete the front passenger seat.

Hi All,
Here`s the update for Issue 21, where the front passenger seat will be completed.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1. You will also need the backrest and seat base from Issues 19 and 20.
Start by positioning the backrest and seat base as shown in Pic 2. Noting that the pivot pins of the backrest are staggered. Shown by the red circles.
Now place the seat base padding 21-D, inside the seat base. Note: the flat side faces outwards and the thicker end is toward the front of the seat. Pic 3. Then, place the seat base support 21-A over the padding Pic 4 and secure it using 4 x PS14 screws. Pic 5.
The last stage is to fit the seat rails. Each has two pins that press fit into the holes in the seat base. Take the left rail 21-B and fit it to the left side of the seat base, with the lever end at the front of the seat. Pic 6. Then add the right rail 21-C to the other side. Pic 7.
That completes the passenger seat construction. Pic 8.
I have also attached Pic 9 and 10 to show the pivoting action of the backrest.
See you soon for Issue 22, where we will construct the Right Front disc brake.

Hi All,
Having completed the passenger seat in the last update, Issue 22 moves on to assemble the Right Front disc brake.
NOTE: I did point out a potential problem in this issue. I posted it into the discussion forum so that those who were eager to progress could do so. I will highlight that very same issue here.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1. You will also need a wheel/tyre assembly and one of the "Shelby" magnetic hub centres.
CAUTION: The first part of this update is to put the Brake Pipe 22-E onto the Brake Caliper 22-D. The pipe must be spread to fit around the caliper and must therefore be done very carefully or the pipe will break.
Should the worst happen, then the material used for the pipe can be stuck back together using a propriety plastic kit adhesive.
If all is good, then the pipe and caliper should be as shown in Pic 2.
To continue, position the Stub Axle 22C through the Disc Protector 22A. Pic 3. Then place the Brake Disc 22-B over the stub axle as shown in Pic 4. Then holding the parts together, turn them over. Pic 5. Now position the Brake Caliper and fix it in position using a DS01 screw. Pic 6. These parts should now stay together and when turned over should be the same as shown in Pic 7.
Now position the Hub/Brake assembly inside the wheel, making sure that the parts slot together. Pic 8. Holding the assemblies together, turn them over and secure them using a DS12 screw. Pic 9. Lastly pop a magnetic hub centre in place. Pic 10.
My Thoughts: You could leave the Hub/Brake assembly, separate from the wheel as they will most probably need to be separated later to fit the hub to the vehicle. The benefits of fitting them now, is that pesky little brake pipe is protected inside the wheel. (Your Choice)
See you soon for Issue 23.

Hi All,
Time for the last update for this pack, Issue 23.
Not a lot in this one, where we assemble the tail ends of the exhaust pipes.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1. Note all the parts are marked "L" or "R" for left and right.
Take the parts marked "L" and press them together as shown in Pic 2. It can be seen that the two parts did not engage fully. If you have this problem, DO NOT force them. Just remove a fine amount of the paint from the pin and try again.
Repeat this process with the parts marked "R" Pic 3. I did not have an issue with these parts, so do not remove paint unless you have to, or they may then be a loose fit.
That`s it for this update and pack Pic 4. So until the next delivery arrives "Happy Modelling"
