Hi All,
The ISS pack 3 arrived this morning and it includes issues 6 - 8.
So, lets crack on with Issue 6. Completing the Mini Research Module 1 (MRM1)
Issue 6 will be posted in two parts, A + B. Where "A" will cover the space station and "B" will cover the standard base construction.
Issue 6A:
All parts supplied.....Pic 1, for 6A you will also need the main body of the space station already built and the Mini Research Module 1 (MRM1) from issue 5.
Start by placing part 4G into 4H, noting the orientation. Pic 2.
Now bring the main ISS assembly to the table with the MRM1 from Issue 5 and position them as shown in Pic 3. Then carefully locate the parts (4G/4H) just assembled, to bring the two halves of the MRM1 together. Pic 4. Whilst holding the two halves of the MRM1 together, fix them using 2 x MS4 screws. Pic 5.
Finally take the two parts 4i and 4J and cover the screws just inserted. Note: both parts can only fit in one orientation, but 4J may not be so obvious (see indicated corner) Pic 6.
That concludes this part of Issue 6. Pic 7.
See you very soon with the Base construction in update 6B.

Hi again,
Here`s the second part of Issue 6.
Issue 6B:
You will need the Base part and 2 x Nuts/Bolts supplied with this issue, plus the Base part supplied in Issue 5. Pic 1.
Start by placing the base parts next to each other, matching a side of each together. Note: there is a specific position for the fixing nuts. All shown in Pic 2.
Proceed to fit 2 x Nuts/Bolts in opposite directions as shown in Pic 3. Then using the black handled screwdriver tighten the bolts. Pic 4.
That`s it for the start of the base and the end of this update. Pic 5.
Working on Issue 7, so will see you soon.

Hi All,
Here we are with the update for Issue 7. In this issue we will extend the base. The part supplied for the space station`s "Permanent Multi-Purpose Module" (PMM), will be used in the next update. Store it away carefully until needed.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1. You will also need the base from Issue 6.
Place the base from Issue 6 upside down on the table and press the triangular part Base 2 firmly into position. Pic 2. Then secure it in place using 2 x AS8 screws. Pic 3.
Next, press the hexagonal Base 1 part into position, Pic 4 and secure that using another AS8 screw. Pic 5.
Finally fix the Base 1 parts using 4 X Nuts/Bolts as shown in Pic 6.
That`s it for this update. Pic 7.

Hi All,
Time for the last update for this pack, Issue 8.
In this update we will be building the Permanent Multi- Purpose Module (PMM) and extending the base with the next part.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1. You will also need the (PMM) part supplied in issue 7, along with the base as completed, also from issue 7.
Bring the two halves of the PMM to the table Pic 2 and position them as in Pic 3. These two parts are then fixed together using 4 x MS4 screws. Pic 4.
Now take the parts 5D and 5F and press fit them in place as shown in Pic 5, then do the same with parts 5C and 5E. Pic 6.
That concludes the build for the PMM, so now bring the base as built and the new base part to the table along with two Nuts/Bolts. Note: It is important to put the base together in exactly the way shown, or the mounting points will not be in the correct positions.
Turn the constructed base over and position the new Base 1 part, then fix it using the 2 x Nuts/Bolts. Pic 7.
That`s all for this update and pack, Pic 8. So I`ll see you back here, when postie brings the next pack.
