Quick and easy for this update, so place the metal plate 16-02 in position on the underside of of the base part 16-01. Pic 2. Then fix the plate using 3 x P-TP screws. Pic 3.
That`s it for this update. Pic 4 shows the topside of the base.
See you soon for Issue 17.

Hi All,
Update time again with Issue 17. Here we will extend the body base of ET.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1. You will also need the first half of the base from Issue 16.
PLEASE NOTE: There are two types of screws supplied in this issue, P-TP x3 and P-TP-B x8. The differences being their length and the number supplied of each. It appears that the manufacturer no longer labels the screws and does not supply a spare, so don`t mix them up or lose one to the carpet gremlins.
Bring the base from Issue 16 and the new base section 17-01 (supplied with this issue) to the table. Pic 2. Engage the new part with the assembly from issue 16. Pic 3. Then carefully hold the parts together and turn them over, Pic 4 and fix them together using 3 x P-TP screws. Pic 5.
Turn the base back over and position a junction plate 17-02 as shown, Pic 6 and fix it in place using 4 x P-TP-B screws. Pic 7. To complete this update, fit the second junction plate 17-02 and fix it using another 4 x P-TP-B screws. Pic 8.
Store the base carefully, noting it will be required in the next update for issue 18.

Hi All,
Time for Issue 18, where we will add the first leg to the base assembled in Issue 17.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1. You will also need the base from Issue 17.
Please note: There are two types of screws supplied with this issue and yet again they are not labelled. The P-TP screws (4) are slightly shorter and have a course thread, the P-M screws (4) are the slightly longer screws with a fine thread.
Start by positioning the two leg halves 18-01 together. Pic 2. From one side fix the parts together using 2 x P-TP screws, Pic 3. Then turn the leg over and fix from the other side using 2 x P-TP screws. Pic 4.
Now bring the base from Issue 17 to the table and insert the leg from underneath as shown in Pic 5. Then, whilst holding the leg fully in place, fix it to the base using 4 x P-M screws. Pic 6.
That completes this update. Pic 7. See you soon for Issue 19.

Hi All,
Here we go with the update for Issue 19. In this issue we will build and attach the second leg to the base unit.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1. You will also need the base unit with the first leg attached from the last update.
Please Note: Again the screws have not been labelled, so P-TP screws are slightly shorter and have the course thread, where P-M screws are slightly longer with a finer thread.
This is a replica of the previous update for most part, so abridged.
Place two parts 19-01 together. Pic 2. Fix with 2 x P-TP screws. Pic 3. Turn over and fix with 2 x P-TP screws on the other side. Pic 4.
Position the leg into the base, Pic 5 and fix it in place using 4 x P-M screws. Pic 6.
That concludes this update of the base and legs. Pic 7.
In the last update for this pack (Issue 20), we will return to ET`s head assembly and start connecting up the cables by adding a circuit board and a sensor. See you soon.

Hi All,
Here we are for the last update for this pack, with Issue 20.
Please Note: In this update we will add a circuit board and sensor. Extreme care must be taken when attaching the wires to the circuit board. I have taken extra pictures for clarity, therefore this update will come in two halves (A+B).
Issue 20A:
Parts supplied.....Pic 1. You will also need ET`s head.
With ET`s head the right way up, remove the six screws that hold the top of his head in place and remove the top in one piece. Pics 2 and 3. Now position the circuit board 20-02 in place and fix it using 2 x P-TP screws as shown in Pic 4.
Now its time to connect the cables to the circuit board. The first two cables will have two pictures, showing where the cable comes from and where it plugs into the circuit board. The first cable comes from underneath ET`s head, its the eye servomotor. Shown in Pics 5 + 6. The second, also from underneath is the mouth servomotor and is shown in Pics 7 + 8.
The next two cables can be seen in one picture each, from the top of ET`s head. The origin of these cables are circled and the plug position arrowed. The first one is the one with two black wires, they come up from the lower part of the head. Pic 9. The second cable at the top is the one from the eyelids servomotor. Pic 10.
That completes this first part of Issue 20. DO NOT replace the top frame of ET`s head at this point, or you will have to remove it again for part B of this update.
See you soon.

Hi All,
Here we go with Issue 20 part B:
You will need: The sensor 20-01 and the cable 20-03 from this issue, along with ET`s head, the top of the head and the six screws removed in the previous update.
Start by carefully pushing the cable 20-03 into the socket on the sensor 20-01. Pic 1.
With the top frame of ET`s head close by, carefully remove the backing paper from the sensor, Pic 2. BEFORE you press the sensor onto the frame of ET`s head, take note of the orientation of the cable socket as shown in Pic 3. With the sensor firmly in place route the cable as shown in Pic 4.
Bring the main part of the head to the table. Place the upper frame close to it and plug the sensor cable into the circuit board. Pic 5.
Finally re-position the upper frame onto the head and replace the six screws removed in the previous update. Pic 6.
That`s it for this pack, I`ve added Pics 7 and 8 to show the underneath and front of ET`s head. See you when the next pack arrives.
