STAGE 22:

The parts in this stage are for assembling part of the fuel tank system.

Locate the fuel tank top parts 22A and 22B.
The printed instructions show the smaller part 22b is supposed to fit in the circular holes in part 22A.

THIS IS INCORRECT.

The part actually presses into place in the two rectangular slots nearby.
This assembly fits inside the upper rear cockpit area and fixes in place with 4 x MM screws.

Locate the three electrical connectors, 22C, 22D and 22E.
These press into place in the three locating holes in the previously fitted part 22A.
Make sure that you fit them in the correct order

Assemble the oil tank using parts 22F and 22G. They will only fit together one way.
This assembly presses into place in the larger central hole in the upper rear of the body.

Use one of the connectors, part 22H and press it into place in the lower left hole in the rear of the body.

Fit the fuel wire, part 22I to the two connectors as shown in the picture.

Store your model safely for now.

STAGE 23:

The parts in this stage are for assembling the seat belts and fuel tank brackets.

Locate the cockpit rear panel part 23A and the two upper seatbelt parts, 2 x 23B.
Fix the belts to the panel using 2 x NP screws, making sure you fit them the correct way round.

Locate the lower belt parts, 2 x 23C and fit them into the brackets on the upper belts by looping them through as shown in the picture below.

ASSEMBLY TIP – You may find it useful to fix the lower belt parts together by using a small piece of double sided tape between the loop faces to make them lay flat.

Fix the assembled parts inside the main body using 2 x HM screws. The panel only fit one way.

Locate the small left bracket, part 23D, and press it into place in the two small holes in the rear sides of the body. There is a very small hole in one corner of the bracket which should face the rear.

Fit the right bracket, part 23E in the same way.

Store your model safely for now.

STAGE 24:

The parts in this stage are for assembling the fuel tank and pipes.

Locate the fuel tank, part 24A and turn the main body upside down.
The tank fits in the rear of the body and will only fit one way.
Secure the part using 4 x NM screws.

The base of the tank, part 23B presses into place on the fuel tank, fitting over the four locating pins on the corners of the tank.

The two black fuel lines, parts 2 x 24C, fit to the connectors on the top of the fuel tank plate at the upper rear of the body.
You may find it easier to remove the oil tank to do this.

Fit the two clear lines, parts 2 x 24D, to the connections on the side of the oil tank.

Re-fit the oil tank if you removed it.

Store your model safely.

STAGE 25:

The parts in this stage are for fitting part of the floor and further wiring.

Retrieve the main body assembly and locate the floor panel, part 25A.
Fit them together and fix using 2 x KM screws on each side and rear of the cockpit.
The parts will only fit together one way.

Locate the short electrical wire, part 25B and press into place in the hole next to the left fuel bracket.

The short pin, part 25C, fits into the hole on the lower right at the rear of the body.

Locate the two long wires, parts 2 x 25D.
This stage is completed far more easily with the model turned upside down.

The two cables fit onto the pins on the base of the silver manometer mount on the dashboard.
When they are attached, it might be prudent to apply a tiny dot of cyano adhesive to the attaching points with the tip of a cocktail stick. This is at the builders own discretion.

Turn the model the right way up and fit the two wires behind the gear lever assembly.

One of the two wires can now be attached to the pin, part 25C, fitted earlier in this stage.

Store your model safely for now.

STAGE 26:

The parts in this stage are for assembling the first bank of fuel injectors.

Locate the fuel pressure rail and intake manifold, parts 26A and 26B.
Press the parts together so the six small ‘forks’ face the manifold.

Fit two of the injectors from the sprue – parts 6 x 26C – into the holes in the top of the manifold.
The small flat protrusions should angle slightly inwards.

Fit two of the injector feed lines – parts 6 x 26D - between the pins on the manifold and the fuel rail.

Fit the remaining injector parts in the same way and store the assembly safely for later use.
