Issue 52

Assembling the Torso.

Picture 1 shows the contents of the parts for this issue.

Take the door assembly that you did in issue 51 along with part (52B), picture 2, and secure it with 2 x AM screws as shown in picture 3.

Note: The next pictures show the part (52A). Unfortunately, the silver detail part ringed in picture 4 had come off the main part on arrival. This just needed a little glue along the edge of the left hood to secure it back into place, pictures 5 and 6.

Place the left hood inner plate (53C) on the inside of (52A) and secure with 2 x AM screws, picture 7. Snap this assembly onto the cylindrical post that remains free at the front of the torso, pictures 8, 9 and 10.

Screw the visor (52D) to its bracket (52E) with 2 x EP screws, picture 11. Then push the pins into the holes at the top of the cab, picture 12.

Push fit the cab assembly into the torso as shown in pictures 13 and 14. Take the cable from the cab, marked with an “L”, and push the connector into the circuit board socket with the same letter, picture 15.

Press fit the left door assembly onto the kneecap on the left side of the torso as shown in the last two pictures 16 and 17.

That complete the assembly for this issue.

Issue 53

Assembling the Torso.

Picture 1 shows the contents of the parts for this issue.

Place the window (53B) into the inside of the door (53A) so that the tabs fit onto the posts. Secure with 2 x DM screws, picture 2.

Place the right door joint (53C) on the inside of the door and secure it with 2 x AM screws as shown in picture 3.

Put a drop of glue in the holes in the window frame on the outside of the door and place the rearview mirror (53D) into the holes as shown in picture 4. Once the glue has had time to set, snap fit the door onto the ball joint on the right side of the torso, picture 5.

Picture 6 shows the complete assembly for this issue.

Issue 54

Assembling the Torso.

Picture 1 shows the contents of the parts for this issue.

Connect the back chassis (54A) to the rear of the torso, making sure you feed the cable marked with a “B” through the left hole of the chassis, picture 2.

Once in place, secure it with 5 x IP screws as shown in the final picture 3

Note: Take care when attaching the rear chassis, as there are many fragile parts to the front when holding it.

That completes the assembly for this issue.

Snap fit the left back detail (55C) into the holes at the back of the top left side of the back chassis, picture 2. Do the same with the detail part (55B) to the right-hand side of the chassis, picture 3 and 4.

Snap fit the tank detail (55D) into the tank (55A) as shown in pictures 5 and 6. Using 2 x DP screws, attach it to the left side of the back chassis, picture 7.

Issue 56

Assembling The Torso.

Picture 1 shows the contents of the parts for this issue.

Place the battery box cover (56F) on the battery box (56C) using 2 x AP screws, pictures 2 and 3.
Now place the switch circuit (56B) behind the battery box and fix it in place using 2 x AP screws, picture 4.

Pass the cable marked “B” that comes out of the back of the torso and pass the end through the hole in the side of the tank and pull it out of the top. Connect it to the circuit board in connector “B”, pictures 5 and 6.

Slide the battery box into the tank, and secure it with an AP screw, pictures 7 and 8. Note: I left the screw off for the moment as we will need to undo the screw to insert the batteries at a later date.

Cover the tank with the tank cover (56G), picture 9.

Snap fit the left back plate bracket (56E) onto the reverse of the back plate (56A), picture 10. Fit the left back plate cover (56D) onto the bracket, picture 11.

Pictures 12 and 13 show the complete assembly for this issue.
