STAGE 22A:
These parts will allow you to continue assembling more of the engine detail.
Locate the bracket and cover, parts22A and 22B. Clip the parts together. They will only fit one way. Fit the assembly to the transmission end of the engine and secure using 1 x MM screw.
Locate the thermostat housing, part 22E and fix it to the top of the front of the engine using 2 x AP screws. The housing will only fit one way.
Locate the throttle control and support arm, parts 22C and 22D.Fit the parts together and fix using 1 x AP screw from underneath.
Fit this assembly to the top of the thermostat housing and fix using 1 x AP screw.
Locate the fuel distributor and control unit, parts 22F and 22H. Fit the two parts together and fix from underneath using 2 x AP screws.

STAGE 22B:
Locate the mixture control housing, part 22I. Fit the previous assembly to the top of the unit and secure from underneath using 1 x AP screw. The parts will only fit together one way.
Locate the intake manifolds, part 22J and fit it to the end of the previous assembly. The parts will only fit together properly one way. Fix together using 2 x AP screws.
Fit this assembly to the ends of the air boxes on the top of the engine and secure using 4 x AP screws.
Locate the 6 x small injector fittings, parts 6 x 22G. Press three in each side of the fuel injector plate, part 22F, previously installed.
Make sure the fittings on each side, point outwards. TAKE CARE not to lose one of these tiny parts. There is no spare included.
Locate the 6 x fuel lines. They are in pairs according to length.
The short pair are parts 2 x 22K The middle length are parts 2 x 22L The long pair are parts 2 x 22M.
Fit these lines to the small pins on the inside upper edge of each cylinder head. The other end of the lines attach to the 6 x injector fittings, parts 6 x 22G.
When fitting the lines, start with the shortest which go to the transmission end of the engine. The long lines fit at the front end and the middle length lines go in the centre.

STAGE 23A:
These parts will allow you to continue assembling even more of the engine detail.
Retrieve the main engine assembly.
Locate the mounting bracket, part 23D. Fix to the right upper front side of the engine using 2 x AM screws.
Locate the alternator parts, 23B and 23C. NOTE: These parts are incorrectly called the distributor in the printed instructions. Fit the two parts together and fix with an AP screw at one end.
OPTIONAL DETAIL: To improve the appearance of the alternator, you can fit a strip of black tape around the recessed centre section. This is entirely at the builder’s discretion.
Fit the alternator to the engine bracket using 2 x AP screws.

STAGE 23B:
Locate the other mounting bracket, part 23A.
OPTIONAL DETAIL: You can colour the recessed area with black paint to make it look like an open slot. This is entirely at the builder’s discretion.
Fit the bracket to the end of the alternator and the engine and fix with 1 x AM screw.
Locate the dipstick, part 23G. NOTE: This is incorrectly labelled 22K in the printed instructions.
Fit the dipstick in place, locating the end in the hole in the engine sump.
Locate the two gearbox mounting brackets, parts 23E and 23F. Fit 23E to the left side of the gearbox and 23F to the right side. Secure the parts with 2 x DM screws in each bracket.

STAGE 24A:
These parts will allow you to build the engine pulleys and belts.
Retrieve the main engine assembly.
All of the pulley parts are marked with the corresponding part letter making identifying each one easy.
Locate the pulley parts 24A, 24B and 24C. They fit on the lower central shaft on the front of the engine in the order 24C, 24B and finally 24A. The parts are then fixed using 1 x AM screw.
Locate the next pulley parts, 24D and 24E. These fit on the post directly above the one you just used. 24D goes on first, then 24E. Fix them in place with 1 x AP screw.

STAGE 24B:
Locate the alternator rotor, part 24F. This fits onto the end of the alternator shaft. Locate pulley part 24G and fit this over the alternator rotor and fix using 1 x AP screw.
Locate the two pulley parts, 24H and 24I. Press the two parts together. They will only fit one way. Fit this assembly to the end shaft of the AC unit and fix in place with 1 x AP screw through the hole in the end of the pulley.
Locate the two rubber belts, 24J and 24K. Both belts are actually the same.
Fit belt 24J over the central two pulleys and the alternator pulley. Fit belt 24K over the lower central pulley and the AC unit pulley.
Store the engine safely for now.

STAGE 25:
These parts will allow you to add the engine supports and exhaust.
Retrieve the main engine assembly.
Locate the right engine bracket part 25A and fit it to the right side of the engine just below the alternator. Fix with 2 x AM screws.
Locate the left engine bracket part 25B and fix it to the front left side of the engine next to the lower central pulley. Fix using 2 x AM screws.
Locate the front support panel part 25C and fit it to the front of the engine, attaching it to the two brackets just fitted. The part will only fit one way. Fix in place with 2 x NM screws.
Locate the two parts of the exhaust system, parts 25D and 25E. Fit the two parts together and fix using 1 x AP screw. The parts will only fit together properly one way.
Fit the exhaust assembly to the engine, from the transmission case end. It will only fit one way. Secure both sides of the exhaust to the manifolds using 1 x AP screw on each side.

STAGE 26A:
These parts will allow you to complete the engine and install it in the chassis. Retrieve the main engine assembly.
Locate the silencer parts, 26A and 2 x 26C. Fit the exhaust tips, 26C, to each side of the silencer box. They will only fit one way. Fix from the inside with 2 x AP screws.
Locate the silencer cover, part 26B. (Incorrectly labelled 21B in the printed instructions) Fit the cover to the main silencer part. It will only fit one way. Secure it with 2 x FP screws.
Fit the silencer at the front of the engine, locating the long exhaust pipe into the side of the silencer. Fix the silencer to the front support brackets with 1 x AP screw on the left and 1 x AM screw on the right.roymattblack attached the following image(s):

STAGE 26B:
Locate the small bracket part 26D an fit this to the top right side of the silencer and alternator bracket.
Retrieve the main chassis assembly.
OPTIONAL DETAIL: At this stage you could paint the numerous black screw heads silver to obscure them, improving the look of the engine. This is entirely at the builder’s discretion.

STAGE 26C:
Fit the engine into the chassis frame, locating the transmission case under the ‘Y’ shape in the chassis.
Turn the assembly upside down and secure the engine in place using 3 x DM screws. One in the centre of the cross member into the sump, and one in each bracket on each side of the transmission case.
Retrieve the two drive shafts from stage 12. (Incorrectly called track rods in the printed instructions) Locate the two rubber boots, parts 2 x 26G. Slide one boot onto each drive shaft, fitting the smaller opening on the shaft first.
Fit the drive shafts into the rear hubs and locating the end on the drive shaft stub on the transmission case. Secure each one using 1 x EP screws.
NOTE: The drive shafts are ‘handed’ and will only fit on the correct side in each case.
Slide the rubber boot over the screw fixing.
Locate the two silencer support brackets, parts 26E and 26F. Fit part 26E to the left end of the silencer. Fit part 26F to the right end of the silencer. Secure both ends using 2 x AP screws.
