A year ago, whilst at my holiday home in Norfolk, I decided to create some beach huts for a deep framed mirror I had. The local beach is full of beach huts as shown in the first picture, so I designed a beach hut front that fitted on the frame. I laser cut them using 3mm plywood, then painted the parts before assembling them together. I have also sold quite a few over the year as they have proved very popular with other people. Anyway, I was strolling in the town a couple of weekends ago, looking at some painting and photo pictures and that gave me an idea to do a 3D picture using the beach huts. The next pictures are CAD photos of a design I wanted to use.
So last weekend, I started building and creating my idea. I added mirrored sides to create the appearance of depth and more beach huts. I also added a deck chair made from two match sticks and a couple of cocktail sticks. I still want to add a bucket and spade, sandcastle and a surf board. The sand effect was a piece of foam, painted and sprinkled with real sand, then highlighted.
Anyway, here is the result so far.
