Issue 57

Picture 1 shows the parts for this issue.

Tip: Before we start on this next pack, I would highly recommend taking the doors off the front of the torso. As this pack see us adding parts to the rear, you are going to need to handle the torso by holding the front carefully whilst assembling the parts. Removing the doors will help.
Just be careful when push fitting parts to the back, as some need a firm push, where you place your hand so not to damage any of the front assembly.

Remote Control

First, we get to place the “M” and “N” connectors to the circuit board. This is quite fiddly, and you will need a pair of tweezers to attach the cable to the connector, picture 2. Picture 3 shows them in place.

Take the remote control and remove the battery holder from the end. Place the battery in and replace the holder into the remote control, picture 4.

Pictures 5 shows the complete assembly for this issue.

Issue 58

Picture 1 shows the parts for this issue.

Assembling the Torso

Take the two parts (58B) and (58A), picture 2, and attach them to the upper shoulder by push fitting the slots into the 3 pins on the upper torso, pictures 3 and 4.

Snap the neck detail (58C) onto the neck protection (58D) as shown in picture 5 and 6. Then place the assembly to the centre pins on the top face of the back of the chassis, picture 7.

Snap the tailpipe detail (58G) into the left tailpipe (58F) and do the same with the right tailpipe detail (58H) into (58E), pictures 8 and 9.

Push these assemblies into the holes into their respective upper shoulder cover.

Pictures 10 and 11 show the complete assembly for this issue.

Issue 59

Picture 1 shows the parts for this issue.

As stated in stage 57, I would highly recommend taking the doors off the front of the torso. As this pack see us adding parts to the rear, you are going to need to handle the torso by holding the front carefully whilst assembling the parts. Removing the doors will help.
Just be careful when push fitting parts to the back, as some need a firm push, where you place your hand so not to damage any of the front assembly.

Assembling the Torso

Retrieve the left back plate from issue 56, picture 2, and place it on the upper left of the back of the chassis, by snap fitting the 3 pins into the posts as shown in pictures 3 and 4.

Take the right tank (59A) and tank cover (59B) and push fit in place, picture 5, then snap the side detail in place, picture 6.

Place the right tank in place using 2 x DP screws to the back of the chassis as shown in picture 7.

Snap fit the right back plate, (59C) onto the inside face of the back plate (59E), picture 8. Next, place the cover (59F) onto the plate as shown in picture 9.

Place the assembly, as you did in step 1 for the left side, and push fit in place.

Pictures 10 shows the complete assembly for this issue.

Issue 60

Picture 1 shows the parts for this issue.

As stated in the last issue, I would highly recommend taking the doors off the front of the torso. As this pack see us adding parts to the rear, you are going to need to handle the torso by holding the front carefully whilst assembling the parts. Removing the doors will help.
Just be careful when push fitting parts to the back, as some need a firm push, in particular part 60A that comes in this issue. Just be wary where you place your hand so not to damage any of the front assembly.

Assembling the Torso

Snap fit the long antennas (60G) into the top holes of the radiators (60A), along with the short antennas (60I), pictures 2 and 3. Now push fit the assembly so the holes go through the pins on the back chassis. Make sure the radiators fit on the posts of the left and right back plates, pictures 4 and 5. Now fit the detail in place that came with issue 55, fitting its three pins into the centre post, pictures 6 and 7.

Place the right cover plate joint (60E), marked R, and the left cover joint (60F), marked L, on the ends of the cover plate using 4 x AP screws as shown in picture 8. Then snap fit the right (60B) and left (60C) into each joint, picture 9.

Now fit the assembly into the back of the radiators inserting the four pins, picture 10.

Finally, place the cover plate end caps (60H) into the holes as shown in picture 11.

Pictures 12 shows the complete assembly for this issue.

Issue 61

Picture 1 shows the parts for this issue.

As stated in the last issue, I would highly recommend taking the doors off the front of the torso. As this pack see us adding parts to the rear, you are going to need to handle the torso by holding the front carefully whilst assembling the parts. Removing the doors will help.
Just be careful when push fitting parts to the back, as some need a firm push, in particular, the final assembly when you attach the neck to the torso. Just be wary where you place your hand so not to damage any of the front assembly.

Assembling the Neck

Fit the head socket (61C) into the neck core right (61B), and position the cable as shown in picture 2. Place the neck joint (61F) with the notch facing downwards, and secure in place using 2 x AP screws, picture 3. Connect the neck core left (61A) to the assembly and secure it using 2 x AP screws, picture 4.

Snap fit the neck left part (61E) onto the assembly, followed by the right part (61D), picture 5.

Now place the cable on the assembly to the circuit board, marked “S” as shown in picture 6. Picture 7 shows it in place behind the “B” circuit.

Finally, snap fit the assembly onto the ball at the top of the torso. Note: This is a very tight fit and will need some pressure to put it in place. Take care when fitting this, picture 8.

Pictures 9 shows the complete assembly for this issue.
