One from my stash pile.
I might give this one a go as I'm rather partial to Jaguars.

That looks a nice kit Roy and that single piece of body is a seriously good casting given that it's quite large in 1:12 scale. I would expect to see a little warpage in a piece that size?! Lovely car, the D-Type. Looking forward to following your build Roy!!
I've just bought a nice Jaguar kit myself on fleabay. The Tamiya 1:24 Jaguar Mk.II Saloon, which also comes with a set of 3D printed 'ultra fine wire wheels to replace the kit ones. Will put some photos up when it arrives.

Great to see this one on the bench again Roy and I for one will be following your progress. As far as quality goes, it can't possibly be any worse than those awful mouldings on your Marlboro-BRM kit, so the only has to be up from here mate!?
I'm sure you'll make a great job of building it as always and I'm looking forward to your next update already.

I've started filling some seam joins on the body that have sunk so rubbing down will be next followed by another primer coat to check things.
Just prepping a few other bits before moving on.

Umpteen shades of grey here.
After rubbing the filler down and adding grey primer, it all looked really smooth.
A light coat of blue gloss suddenly highlighted rows of dimples near the front arches.
Amazing how gloss will do this, showing things not visible with primer.

Pinholes now all sorted, primed and topcoats applied.
Front air intake and headlights assembled.
The interior tub is pretty simple so after a clean up and priming, it's been painted ally silver.
The seats are now also sorted and painted.

Looking good already Roy and coming together quite quickly too!. It must be a sheer joy for you to be able to work on something that has all of its' constituent parts present and doesn't fight you all of the way after that Marlboro BRM from your last build!?

It's actually a very basic and simple kit with around 50-60 parts.
Quite well engineered though and it goes together well.

Some more done on this one.
It's an extremely simple and basic kit and after the horrible struggles with the resin BRM, it's very relaxing just painting and sticking bits together while listening to the audiobook of Watership Down.

Looking good Roy and certainly making great progress! Are those steel wheels your own cast resin items that you've used on some of your other large scale Jaguar builds? They just look more detailed than the other components in the kit?

Righty ho.
All the major parts have been assembled.
The body fitted onto the chassis after I trimmed down the bottom of the dashboard as the chassis wasn't sitting flush under the car.
A really straight forward build which has been fun.

All the actual building is complete now.
Fitting the screens and trim was fiddly but actually quite straightforward.
