Note: I have absolutely no intention of purchasing but my curiosity bump has been tickled.
Wandering around and asked Amazon what they have under 'wood ship model kit'.
Bit shocked by "PUCIO Wooden Ship Models Kits 1/30 HMS Royal Caroline 1749 Wood Battle Ship British Royal Caroline Sail Boat Model Kit" for just under £2500.

Has anyone heard of a company called PUCIO ?

Finished product size: 1100*275*253mm
Please note this boat needs to paint and assemble all by yourself,Model kit don't include the glue, paint, and Upgrade kit。

I can't see what the upgrade kit may be (rigging mast & sails maybe?).

Chris Watton's most expensive kit is Indefatigable at £1350.

Just found another hilarious offering; 1/50 Scale 120MM Russian Lifeboat, Peter The Great Flagship for £4100 (LOL ) Finished product size: 120mm So yes, this appears to be relatively small rowboat

So very curious. Who the 'eck is this company and do they have any justification for these outrageous prices?? (Solid gold framework maybe?)

Sue

Hi Suey, BigGrin

Good to hear from you and thanks for the heads up.

Not heard of this one, so I have done a search (albeit a short one) on PUCIO.

It appears to be predominately Polish which in itself is not a problem, before anyone jumps on me. If all the links I found are legitimate, then they do a wide range of products. Books, toys, puzzles etc

What does concern me with some of the links, is that they won`t translate and some of the top banners look very much like the Amazon one. Confused

With a world full of scammers, all I would say (with any site, not just the one named here) is "BUYER BEWARE"

Once again, thanks to Suey and don`t forget to scratch that tickled bump. LOL LOL LOL

Regards

Must admit potential scammer was my first thought but didn't want to make unsubstantiated accusations. Some of the prices they're asking are downright ridiculous. It's noticeable that Amazon UK affected but not Amazon USA. (I haven't tried any other country.)
Watch out there everyone.
