Issue 3

Contents
Grass Base, Mound, Screws, Back Panel, Circuit Board, Letters “P” and “A” centres, Peanuts Logo Background and Lucy.

Picture 1 shows the contents of this issue.

Assembling the Mound

Take the grass base with a sharp craft knife, cut the grass where the two slits are towards the back end on either side. This will help when placing the fence and other details later, pictures 2 and 3. Take the mound and identify the front and back. Secure this with 2 screws provided. You may want to push a cocktail stick through the screw holes from under the base to guide the mound onto the posts, picture 4 and 5.

Now place Lucy onto the mound, but do not glue her in place as you may have to remove her again during the assembly, picture 6.

Assembling the Peanuts Sign
Take the circuit board and feed the wire through the hole in the back panel as shown in pictures 7 and 8. Fit the circuit board all the way into the back of the panel making sure the mounting posts come through holes in the board, picture 9.

Take the Peanuts logo and fit the Centre “P” and “A” into the sign as shown in picture 10. Fit this assembly into the logo frame, picture 11. Finally, fit the back panel with the circuit into the frame and snap in place, picture 12. Be careful the circuit board doesn’t get dislodged when connecting the two assemblies.

Picture 13 shows the complete assembly for this issue.

Issue 4

Picture 1 shows the contents of this issue.

Assembling the Back Wall and Clouds

Separate the cloud supports from their sprue, picture 2. Attach the three smaller supports using quick drying glue to the “A, B and C” clouds and the larger support to the “D” cloud. Note that the clouds are all lettered on the reverse side, picture 3.

Now take the back wall, picture 4 and place the clouds into the wall in order as also shown in picture 4. Picture 5 shows them in place. You may have to use quick drying glue to keep them in place.

Take the Peanuts sign assembly and fit it into the larger holes in the back wall, feeding the cable through first, picture 6.

Attach Linus to the mound as you did with Lucy as shown in picture 7. As with last time, do not glue him in place for the moment.

Making the cushions
The magazine gives you two options on making the cushions. One is to sew the cushions, the other is to glue the cushions.

I deliberated which one to do. If I sewed the cushions, you would see the cotton, but glueing it would leave the end a little untidy compared to the rest of the three sides. So, I came up with a third option. You don’t need to follow my option if you prefer any of the other two options the magazine has to offer.

So, let’s get started.

Take one of the four cushions, picture 8. Start by cutting both sides of the inside hem at a 45-degree angle, take care when doing this. This will make it easier to fold the edges. Screw up a small piece of tissue and place it inside the cushion. This will help keep the cushion in the open position whilst folding the outer edges in. Do not use the wadding provided at this stage as it is harder to fold the edges and gluing them down, picture 9.

Now fold the edges in and glue them down using the Tacky glue provided in this pack, picture 10. Allow time to dry before removing the tissue inside, picture 11.

Break up the wadding into small pieces, picture 12 and then push the pieces into the cushion. I found using the handle of a small paint brush helps pushing the wadding down, picture 13.

Using the Tacky glue once again, glue the edges together. Allow the glue to dry before manipulating the wadding inside the cushion to fluff it up, picture 14.

Picture 15 shows the complete assembly for this issue.

Issue 5 Part 1

Picture 1 shows the contents of this issue.

Assembling the Base and Background

Check the orientation of the base. Note that the larger tabs are at the front, picture 2. Apply a little quick drying glue to the front three slots in the base board and attach the back wall as shown in picture 3.

Take the baseball pitch you assembled in issue 3 and remove the figurines if you put them in place. Turn the pitch over and identify the six screw holes, picture 4. Fit the pitch onto the baseboard, engaging the holes with the mounting posts and press them together, picture 5. Turning the assembly over, secure with 6 screws supplied in this issue, picture 6.

Place house “A” by pressing the tab underneath into the base, picture 7. Do the same with house “B” and fence panel, pictures 8 and 9. Place the metal fence panel to the opposite side, picture 10.

Finally, place Schroeder on the mound, along with Lucy and Linus, picture 11.

That completes part 1 of this issue.

Issue 5 Part 2

Assembling the pictures

Place the picture sticker “C” onto part 8 as shown in picture 12. Note the orientation by looking at the rear of the frame making sure the smaller part of the tab is at the top, picture 13.

Do the same with the remaining three pictures as shown in pictures 14 and 15.

Retrieve the assembly from issue 2 and place the pictures on the back wall by pressing the tabs into the slots, picture 16. You may need to use some quick drying glue to hold them in place.

Picture 17 shows the assembly so far with the cushions and pictures in place.

The last two pictures show the cartoon strip depicting the baseball pod assembly from this pack.

That completes this pack.
